FMG-9’s just a long barrel Glock in a silly case though.
That, and it’s a prototype.
That, and it’s a prototype.
Yes, but from now until whenever Cata takes place*, it could have gone from “prototype” phase to “production” phase.
*[sub][sup]And I think that’s a fair chunk of time, considering there’s laser weapons and full-production caseless firearms[/sup][/sub]
I’d like some more Russian guns from STALKER like the AS Val, VSS Vintorez, Groza, AN-94, SVD, SVU
Also, the VKS sniper rifle
Please, DON’T merge STALKER weapons. Special operations veapons like VAL or VSS are really rare even in Russia, even in the grim future of CDDA they will.
What we really need - it is simple weapons like Mosin.

As much as I like them, I have to agree, russian weapons don’t belong in CDDA.=

This.
Having said that, there’s a few Soviet Bloc weapons in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games that are common enough around the world that they would be worth including as semi-uncommon spawns, like some of the Kalashnikov assault rifle variants.
How about if they only spawned in (hypothetical) Embassy buildings.
That would be one way to get foreign gear into the game. With a bit of imagination I’m sure we could come up with others.
The main proposal that’s sensical for this was to have foreign special forces appear in the game (alive or dead) as a source of this equipment. It’d need to be quite rare to make any sense at all though.
I’m sure this has already by suggested, but
Rock-it-Launcher
please?
Please!
… please
please.
We could just make a pneumatic rock launcher.
I like that idea even better.
Because it’s an Sci-Fi Apocalyptic Game, I would like to see something like this:
Dr. Michio Kakus [glow=blue,2,300]Plasma Light Saber[/glow]:
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=xSNubaa7n9o
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=wp_Hq1f8-0E

Just going to point out according to official lore ( backed by whales) both gun laws and import laws are nearly nonexistent which would mean all sorts of foreign firearms would flood the country
It is super conservative 'merica after all. Finding an ultra rare USSR toy would just make my day, even if ammo is super scarce.
People have German assault and battle rifles in their basements. Soviet stuff wouldn’t be THAT far off.
The thing is the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games make no difference between ‘common Soviet Bloc firearm that was manufactured by the millions’ and ‘super top secret Spetsnaz gun that there’s only been like four of them made, ever’ and we’re trying to avoid that to a degree.
Sorry if I didn’t read every idea in this thread.
I dunno how it’d be implemented re: skill usage but an ‘exotic’ weapon from my MUD days would be the ‘Orchid’. From LostSouls, I think. It’s an all around cutting/piercing/unarmed weapon.
Ya know how some swords have a ‘guard’ around the hilt? Little cage of metal protecting your hand? Now imagine the sword was just a little dagger and the guard was razor sharp curved blades.
Little dagger --> |
Curvy Razor Blades --> ((|))
Handle ^
Punch, stab, slash, generally flail about…it’s all good. Like most ‘exotic’ weapons, there is a pretty good chance yer gonna hurt yerself.
I would say it’d be a good contender for a high crit-hit %, but I dunno how that would be put in either.
‘Easily’ craftable either way(it’s just sharp metal) but would take a few parts. A spike/knife, several blades, bit of wood for the grip.
Not sure what you have, but i would like throw some stuff out there for you.
Feel free to use whatever or edit however.
