Strangely enough, I’m not one of the, “I’ve always wanted to write games” kind of programmers, I didn’t do anything more than code up some demos to try things out for my first decade of programming, everything I worked on was a lot more business-y and technical* until I ran across Cataclysm. Then it quickly took over my every free moment. Now DDA is what I do any time I’m not working, sleeping or spending time with my family.
* RTOS networking, Project Euler problems, Embedded Avionics protocol implementation, webserver optimization and maintenance, and recently containerized system design.
