What weapons would you like to see in the game?

well someone planned to make russian weapons pack but it disapeared somewhere

I’d like to see a variant of the Heavy Automatic Shotgun (Abzats) from Metro 2033/Last Light. Instead of a cut down DShK 1938 HMG, it could be made from an M2 Browning HMG re-chambered and re-bored for shotgun shells.

anti-fungal rounds, arrows, bolts, etc. even better, just enable weapon / ammo to have substances applied to it…

I really like to see the XM8 rifle and some of its variants, also the OTs-14 Groza.

I kind of want to see a Joerg Sprave weapon pack modded into the game - just a variety of ridiculous but deadly-effective elastic powered weapons that can launch different types of everyday items as projectiles.

most his stuff is indeed wonderful proof of concept work.

adding a couple mid-tier slingshots based off his designs would be a good idea i feel

launching different types of everyday items - there’s already a nice selection of various pebbles for slingshots
while in concept it makes sense- using specialized slingshots to launch acid / explossives ( >_> )
they’d prob be better off being added sepecifically, on the discretion of those better informed about balance than i.

Unfortunately don’t think zeds would be impressed.
One thing with automatic weapons that we currently lack is the burst fire.
That short 2-4 rounds short burst hasn’t been implemented.
That burst would be lovely to keep mundanes at bay.

The rock in a sock was posted here, and implemented by Rivet shortly after. I don’t know the others, just that one.

I’ve always thought it would be cool to have a shortened, entry shotgun (the type SWAT teams use to blow doors off of their hinges) in the game as a more tactical - or tacticool depending how you look at it - alternative to the classic sawn-off with more customisation options and a slightly larger capacity.

Could mortars be a thing?

It would be lovely, but I don’t think the code currently supports indirect fire. ;A;

I guess one would just have to simulate that :> I might take a look.

A combat-fabricated version of this that causes knockback, but has to be reloaded/recocked.

Joker’s isn’t bad too…

The FN F2000 (or atleast the civilian variant). Uses ammo already in the game, does not require overmuch new code, and gives another weapon similar to the CW-24, atleast in the form of modification. Plus, who does not want a 3.6kg assault rifle thats less than 3/4 of a meter?

The Apache knuckleduster/pistol/dagger/thing may also be interesting, although I can see why it may not be the best, what with age and all.

This would be a beautiful addition if left-handedness was a trait. o3o

Why has noone added handedness to the game yet?

Because it would be a pain in the ass thinking up every little thing it would affect in combat? Slower cycling bolt-action rifles, slower reload for swing-out revolvers, faster reload for Colt SSA-style revolvers (which I don’t think we have yet), only able to fire non-ambi bullpup guns from the hip… o3o
