What weapons would you like to see in the game?

What about adding a trait to the guns where, if left handed, it slows down your using of them which can be removed by adding a mod? It would also require an extra trait for characters, with a trio of variables, and would probably be a bit of a pain when it comes to choosing professions. And I can see the possibility of having to comeup with a new CBM…

Oh, and it would probably affect mutated arms/hands too…

Also, we should main Icecoon’s 5.45x39mm ammo so we can have the AK-74. What the hell was he/she/shi thinking adding a real-world ammo only to add future guns instead of any real ones?

Adding the ammo and not adding the gun. I mean, we have flintlocks, AK47s, colt armies, and the like kicking about in the game.

Colt 6520 or an ol’ trusty 10mm pistol.
Why? We got vaults and stuff, and also 10mm caliber for now is not so usable. And, you know, style: wasteland, leather jacket, 10mm…
Also we got a full range of Fallout weapons: .44 magun, FN FAL, DE .44…why not famous 10mm?

Yes it should be possible, the most likely thing is to give them a flag indicating they have a special attack that always triggers, inside the definition of the special attack it would do nothing if the weapon isn’t loaded, and do bonus damage or something if it is (and yes a powerhead would be a GREAT item to have as a holdout weapon for melee characters), as would a wasp knife or similar.[/quote]

I’d really like to see a shotgun glove (fallouts Ballistic Fist). Surprised it hasn’t been suggested before in this thread.

Making it a gun with short range would actually be the easier way to code that. >.o

Hmm. So machine pistols, basically. Do we have any MODE_BURST guns that use the pistol skill? As much as I consider machine pistols to be impractical gangsta guns, it would at least present a niche to fill.

We already have autofire mechanisms in the game, and guns that have various weapon mods built in, so it probably isint be too hard to make a glock with an auto-fire mechanism built in.

And, looking over various guns, I see that the RM232 is a pistol with burst function.

I want to be able to weaponize a claw and roleplay as the world’s most passive-aggressive gardener/ public works maintainer.

What is the policy on mainlining weapons that are currently very rare and aren’t likely to become common by cata’s time?

Then do what I did with the WWII-era weapons I added. Make them rarer, less so in the mansion item group, or other item groups that would represent rich eccentric collectors with a taste in fine dakka.

It’s usually done more on a case by case basis, but something like the AA12 (which is in a similar situation currently) has been shot down pretty hard.

Kinda want to see a gun-lance either the Monster Hunter kind or the ones the Adeptus Custodes use in Warhammer 40k.

I’d prefer a fire lance instead. Basic, just a spear and a small powder charge.
