Think more like that:
Feels like manual turrets would fix up a lot of the turret craziness we’ve currently got.
well maybe during mounting a turret give a option to make it manual or automatic?
Install a fancy camera/remote setup and you’ll be able to control the turret via vehicle controls. Wowie zowie!
I know it’s been mentioned before, but I’d really love to have some old WW1/WW2 guns in-game. You could find them in museums and stuff. That would be so cool…
If you know it’s been discussed before, then you’d know that we said no numerous times.
But we do have Russian ww2 guns.
My crusade for more activatable weapons continues!
The Buzz Axe is a circular saw mounted on the end of a pole, dealing decent bashing damage with some cutting too for flavour. Too bad it attacks kinda slow, and is pretty unwieldy. Now, you put some juice in that saw and BAM, now you’ve got a weapon that doesn’t bash well, but damn does it slice through some zeds. In fact, it slices so well it gains a sweep attack!
The Hotplate Hammer is pretty simple. Get yourself a sledge, get yourself a heating element, some solder and a decent power source, and now you’ve got a hammer that has the added benefit of cooking your opponents face off! (Probably mechanically represented by a chance to set the target foe on fire) You could always turn zombies into pancakes, but now you can cook them at the same time!
[quote=“BadSniper, post:579, topic:2160”]Fixed Forward-Facing Weapons* would be a pretty interesting concept. It would certainly make plowing down a city street (or through a building) much easier, provided you have the ammunition to spare.

They dont mention naval chasers… How silly. There where naval ships whos armament consisted of three guns, two in the bow and one in the stern…
Laso, I would have to suggest some form of random item cannon. Or a potatogun.
Can launchers, because fuck those cans which stack up in your evac shelter base.
As for serious suggestions I would like to see an XM8 if possible in miltary bunkers; the rifle is experimental and in testing but still functions very well as a weapon and is my favourite assault rifle alongside the AK-47.
If the XM8 is already implented forgive my folishness as I have yet to have seen my dream weapon.
I think some survivor forged swords are a thing I wanted.
Rebar forged sword: A blade forged out of rebar with a rather rough grip. (For your imaginations, I envisioned this as a longsword/hand-and-a-half sword)
Steel forged sword: A finer sword made out of the best bits of steel you could find.(For your imaginations, one handed)
Hell, I might draw these. Be back with some soon.
By soon I mean twelve the next day because it’s two in the morning for me.
If you know it’s been discussed before, then you’d know that we said no numerous times.

Well, to tell the truth, no, I didn’t know anyone had said ‘No’.
Can you provide me with a good reason why this is the case?

I’m all for finding an M1 Garand or something in an antique store; that would be pretty epic.

Jakers, somehow, your idea ended up in the middle of my quote…
But anyway, WW1/WW2 guns was only an idea.
Not sure why there was such hostility towards it…
I don’t even know how I did that.
But nonetheless I would like to see some English weaponry even if we are crap at wars and all that. Such as the SA80 or the L85A1. Maybe even the good old lee enfield.
It hurts my brain because I want to code these weapons in but i have nothing to do it with
No! Don’t touch my cans, they are… precious to me…
Although being able to compress random garbage that is too small for anything else into projectiles for a pneumatic weapon would be useful…
The power of pull requests compels you, Zaweri! You must do it. For great justice.
So, like, a pneumatic pseudoslug projector. Because anyone always appreciates a little alliteration. You would take a consistent weight of objects, the press would probably be rated by material, so no metal in a wooden press… but you use a press to compress, say, a half a kilogram of royal jelly into a solid, well, at least temporarily solid slug of consistent shape and size that could be pneumatically projected at bad things. Because it is relying on mass rather than speed, and would have an extreme tendency to fragment, would likely have minimal penetration but severe knockback…

Chiefly because such guns would be a century old, at least? Cataclysm takes place in 204X. Would that people made up new guns rather than constantly wanting antique, non-mass-produced, and other such guns that one wouldn’t reasonably expect to be in New England.
Okay, fair enough then…
But hold on, didn’t I read something about there being muskets in this game? Not that I’ve ever found one…
