What weapons would you like to see in the game?

Everyone wants the prototype caseless/delayed-recoil rifle that never saw mass production. And yet Rivtech caseless gear is oh-so-objectionable. Gagh.
Maybe I’ve just never seen a thread containing complaints, but who actually said they don’t like the Rivtech guns? And did they state a reason?

Check the blacklist threads. :expressionless:

More epic craftable weapons! I mean, I totally can make a double engine APC with spiked everything (except maybe windshield), turrets, sun batteries, kitchen unit, bed, refrigerator and god knows what else using only spare parts. Why can’t I craft myself a two-handed electric sawhammer with multiple rotating blades and shocking effect? Or maybe a simple chainsword? Or a coilgun rifle?

Shishkebab is awesome, but I want more Dead Island-esque weapons. Please!

These two exist. ‘Combat Chainsaw’ and ‘Ferromagnetic Rail Rifle’.

Anyway, the main idea was to create epic craftable melee weapons like the sawhammer I mentioned before. And yeah, where do I get recipes for these two?

No, we’ve had many discussions about having dead island-esque and the kind and we’ve all decided no on the most part.

But hey, nothing stopping a Dead Island mod, aside from a lack of folk willing to do such a thing…
I just also like the look of the G-11, and there is the fact that it dosent add really any new ammo requirements, as they use a preexisting one…
Cartrige: 4.73x33mm caseless ammunition.

While we do have caseless rounds, we don’t have 4.73x33mm ones. It’d hardly be worth it, anyways, if you add a caliber that’s only ever used by one single gun, out of maybe 80 in the current game. It just makes using said gun a whole lot more annoying if you find the gun, but never the ammo or vice versa.

And again, the G11 never left the prototype stage. However, in my opinion, that doesn’t mean we couldn’t restrict it to being found in labs.

If anything you’d see one in a museum.
A conversion kit wouldn’t make much sense buuut that’s probably the only way you’d ever get to fire the thing.

According to wikipedia there was a second calliber used on it, one that we do have in use.
Actually, it appears that I was wrong in my remembering, or else the wiki was wrong/someone removed that segment of fact. Huh…

We have the 4.7mm PDW. Not sure if it uses the same dimensions.

This is a design-doc thing. The G11 is what we call a CoD gun. Rather than insist on adding a G11, which never got out of prototype, you’d have much better luck if you made fictionalized weapons that happen to have the relevant abilities. Here, it’d be caseless ammo and delayed-recoil.

Rivtech interested in pursuing delayed-recoil?

Could of course go for hyper mega super simulation and allow players to cast fully customized slugs and cartridges. Dimension and material. OH BOY!
Yeah right. :P

Currently the US army is working on a LMG that uses the same sort of thing…

also there are some electronically fired weapons out there…

This is electronically fired… or do you mean electric weapons like the coil gun or the ferromagnetic rifle?

That is actually one of the things I was thinking of/talking about, along with the Voere VEC-91 and the 36 berrel minigun made by the same person as the MAUL

in
and the 36 berrel minigun made by the same person as the MAU
you are talking about this?

dude that gun created by metalstorm what fire 360000000 bullets in second is realy heavy and recoild is realy big is impossible to carry and fire this thing like normal gun

That achually is what I meant, and now I see that it would not work well for a char to use.

As a turret on the other hand…

Also, I want the microgun, the infantry sized vulcan.

I believe the intention for those is they where going to be mounted on ships and used to shoot down missiles, though I might be wrong. But yeah, not suitable for 1 person use.

And I still want the Kurki in!

Oh yeah, Kurkis! I want those.

Hey, I don’t know who originally put them in game but I was wondering if anyone wanted to take a look at the elephant gun, flintlock rifle, flintlock pistol, RPG-7, Colt M1861 Navy, and Colt M1860 Army. They were causing crashes when NPCs tried to spawn ammo for them. Don’t know why but for the Colt Army, for example, it would return “” instead of “44paper.” Know what might cause it?

The troublesome ammo is:
700nx
ammo_flintlock
ammo_flintlock
RPG-7
44paper
36paper

Figured people were coming here for ideas, might as well make sure everyone knows what to do/not do.
