We make bad suggestions and come up with horrible ideas

I suggest we are able to craft a goo-girl pet that says cute things occasionally.

Why not add giant stuffed animals that we can activate and hug for flavor text.

“You hug the stuffed animal, but realize it is dead inside.”

Drops rags when you tear it to shreds.

Craftable with bear pelts. Bloody rags upon disassembly.
We need more of those ingame anyway.

" Tourette's syndrome. Random chance each turn, plus guaranteed when you get hit, of swearing loudly, attracting more zombies. NPCs can have it too (sometimes it seems like they do already).
  • Vomiting produces vomit puddles on the ground. Hope you brought a mop.

  • Bad At Math trait. You have no idea how many bullets are left in your gun, and any quantity of items above 10 becomes “lots”. a - aspirin (lots)

  • Amnesiac trait. Every time you look at your character status screen, your character’s name is different.

    • Happens to your save file, too.

Actually I like these. Let me also suggest not cleaning up those vomit puddles seriously increases your scent bubble/increases Z spawn.

A tank for vehicles filled with superglue which “welds” everything you hit with the vehicle to the vehicle.

Too good to not die.

Heres some bad ideas,
A tile set where everything is a #.

A katamari ball with enemies and items on it, if you dare to go near that rolling ball.

A rare spawn for a wolf pack to be lead by a humanoid wolf named Darkling.

Yamgrenades and Kevin Granades, which deals ludicrous amount of damage.

A roaming NPC named Lorknis who is followed by a pool of goo girls carrying him too and fro.

Some cars have a rare chance of turning into a transformer.

Dubstep and Bass guns. (No treble :P)

Sudden airplanes falling close/in you!

Sudden volcanic eruption!

A rare martial style that enables the user to use HADOUKENS!

A very rare NPC encounter of an martial artist with red hair, black skin, black gi and a murderous energy, who wants a fight to the death against the best Cataclysm survivors.

Sometimes a house might contain a Crab Nicholson who forces you to have an extreme sleepover.

Funnily enough, the first one is probably possible.

It is, you can add completely arbitrary translations.

You know what this means, don’t you?

Cataclysm: Esperanto Edition

Ni ĉiuj estas smegheads tie.

Hah, now I learned google can translate Esperanto.

idea : arbitrary NPC language (chosen at random from available sets)

idea : lingual insanity (all words are individually chosen at random from available language sets)

idea : df-like physical descriptors for all entities (zombies, zomburds, zomPCs, etc) [and, as an extension of that, full randomization of physical traits, complete with random assortments of legs… er limbs)

Evacuation Shelters have a small chance of evacuating off into space. Rockets fold out of the walls and activate, filling the room and surrounding area with smoke and creating a lot of noise. Sadly, the government spent so much money on the rocket thrusters they didn’t pay much attention to the structure of the building. As a result, the rockets rip off the walls and leave the ceiling to cave in on whatever is unfortunate enough to be inside.

Bonus: After a Successful Evacuation, a new crater square is created somewhere nearby with some glass shards and sheets scattered throughout the rubble.

Tree mutation: Roots - You’re slowed down, and if you stand still too long on grass you root yourself (if not winter). Being rooted provides water/nourishment, and if you have a thick bark or something you can survive winter (nullifies temperature effects). If you survive rooted long enough, you release mini-yous. Maybe if you get beaten badly enough by a bear or something you can unroot yourself, with massive leg damage. Perhaps unrooting by yourself instantly breaks your legs.

Fungus mutation: Sessile - Basically the same thing, but maybe you don’t need to be on “ground” to survive, you just need a place with wind. Maybe on concrete and stuff you just have very slow speed.

Trait - British - morale boost for driving. If you spend seasons++ in the same car you actually lose morale. Can craft a manual shifter, activate with ^ to switch gears. Extra morale boost from reading Top Gear.

Psychopath 2 trait - you get a morale boost from causing mayhem, and lose morale from not doing it. Starting fires, killing, butchering, etc increase, not doing those things for a while subtracts.

Photographic memory - you remember what things look/what items are where when you can’t see them, but taking damage inflicts a morale penalty, which stacks under severe damage.

Sensitive - all morale effects are amplified 20-50%.

Sloppy penalty - eating/drinking wastes 10-20% of nourishment, all crafts take longer.

Hippie - eating fresh/less cooked foods provides morale boost, processed foods have a penalty

Marital art - Jarate - you apply a jar to self to fill it with urine. Throw to increase damage against enemies for 2-5 minutes in a 3x3 area.

Pooping for fertilizer, concentrating jarate for ammonia.

Living wood - combine zombie meat with wood stuff to make a material which repairs itself. Disgusting to craft/use, can be demolished to get meat chunks back for eating.

Thing - if you have a leash and a zombie corpse, you can revivify the hand to attack/distract nearby enemies.

Installing CBMs and mutagens into zombie corpses at a significantly higher base chance for success normal. Revived zombies have traits/use cbms.

I’ve always been partial to treants. Maybe if a portal is in the woods, it has a chance of converting a tree instead of spawning an enemy.

Mulberry trees, provide less wood but when foraged provide berries for jam.

Redwood trees. Provide 100x logs. Jungle forests which are dense, usually filled with animals and insects, and provides cover from rain.
Edit: Redwood trees have to be knocked down with explosives. Drops the logs in immediate surrounding, don’t be underneath.
