But it’s rare… :,(
Yes. The problem being that it works on, as far as I know, ANY pistol.
And is always 3 rounds.
As far as I understand, bar waterproofing, the “auto-pistol” conversion is the only mod to use the “mechanism” part of the pistol. Just disable the mechanism slot on pistols that can’t be made automatic, and that should work.
Or perhaps recode the game to have actual sizes of mods? I.e. the pistol has 1 “mechanism” slot, and the “waterproofing” mod takes up 1 slot, but the “auto-pistol” mod takes up 2. So the pistol will be waterproofable, but not auto-capable.
I suppose we could use a system similar to the sniper conversion; for all pistols we don’t want to be compatible with burst-fire, give them some huge negative burst value, like -50. That would keep them from burst-firing, even with the auto-fire mod.
If we want to have a double-tap mod, we could make a variant of the auto-fire mod that has a burst modifier of 2, and have a pair of recipes that allow you to convert the mod from one to the other.
Are you enough of a badass to fire this thing standing up? Probably, yeah.
Super Cobra seems to be an up and coming arms manufacturer. Here we have one of their latest specimens, an SC MHC prototype.
Pick apart a few warehouses worth of obsolete weaponry, mix in a few high tech gadgets and what do you get? Endless possibilities!
Pretty odd intro pamphlet for this one. Hmm, let’s see…
Ugly probably doesn’t even begin to describe this monstrosity. The original design, assembled from various old heavy machine guns and surplus space travel mechanisms, proudly accepts a rather unique designation. [M]agnetic [H]ybrid [C]annon.
Magazine fed, magnet loading goodness. Hybrid ammunition for a hybrid gun, the weapon accepts encased multiple stage rockets. The rocket is propelled by gunpowder (or equivalent) when fired and activates as soon as the disintegrating protective wad burns up. Bang! Swoosh! BOOM! In the words of our esteemed Super Cobra techs, “what could possibly go wrong?!”
The weapon works like this:
Pulling back the charging handle locks the bolt open and sets the magnet system to enable feeding. Inserting a loaded magazine will immediately release the bolt and lock a shell into firing position… with MAGNETS! The weapon is now ready to rock. Release grip safety and squeeze the trigger to fire. Keen use of controlled magnet polarity will cycle rounds with no help from the fired round, meaning that you get max potential from your ammunition.
The side folding rear iron sight can be used as primary or secondary means of acquiring your target. Fix your front iron sight accordingly.
The scope mount accepts many different setups. Adapters sold separately. Remove cover before installation.
WARNING! Sustained fire requires that you fill the liquid coolant container with a suitable liquid. The barrel gets really, really hot otherwise. Really.
Enjoy your complementary Super Cobra Action Grip setup! Thank you for supporting Super Cobra.
AWP 'nuff said.

Gentlemen. The R I P round. I do believe this is the answer to zombie hulks and moose.
That looks like a warcrime waiting to happen
I just realised what thing I need ingame.
Dragondreath shotgun rounds that set flame on everything they hit.
MY GOD THE RIP ROUNDS LOOK FREAKING AWESOME.
Also, *Breath. I’ve suggested flame rounds for the shotgun, since every other round has incendiary in them.
The trouble with Dragons Breath rounds is that they basically have no practical use. It’s like a firework.
A 40mm version might work better, but we already have incendiary grenades. And… come to think of it a flamethrower shot works much the same, right?
Well I have never shot one but it sounds like they should be effective against something like a zombie.
They could work as a more compact alternative to those molotov coktails that you save in the case of HULKS and those Dune Giant Worms
Well, there’s no harm in putting in incendiary shotgun rounds. I’m just saying that the real Dragon’s Breath rounds are just for show, as far as I know. I don’t know if they could even really hurt a human. The result would probably just be minor burns.
If we were going to be realistic they’d be OK for setting fire to flammable materials, but otherwise rather useless.
What about 22. Caliber rounds with zippo flints pressed into the end.
I still want a double barrel pipe shotgun.
