Wertys CDDA Mod V1.3 - The home improvement update

June 2 - With all the changes that have happened I re-doing the whole mod so it will take sometime for a new version.

Currently adds

  • 20 weapons
  • 4 ammo types
  • 3 buildings
  • 4 weapon mods
  • 7 professions
  • paint able walls 6 different colors!
  • carpet floors 4 different colors!
  • a few small items.

Check the change log for everything this mod adds

To install all you need to do is open up the zip and place WertyMod in the data/mods folder

FWIW we already have a cowboy hat in mainline; I made it a while ago. Feel free to PR if you’ve got a better one, though–mine was fairly low-level.

The antique weapons store looks interesting, and the gun-folks’ll like the additions.

O thanks didn’t know there was one in the mainline I looked around for one but couldn’t find one. I may just make some kind of other western type hat.

.357 weapons should have a “disassembly” recipe to turn them to .38 weapons and vice versa. If my computer wasn’t bricked, I would make an example. The disassembly recipes shouldn’t take more than 1 turn, and they should be free.

Your logic is dangerously flawed here.

The system you’re proposing makes no sense. What, you wave your hands over the bullets and they turn into a different cartridge?

Also, a .38 round will indeed fit in a .357, but you never, never, ever load .357 into a .38. Most of the time it’s not going to fit, but even if it does, it’s a really dangerous thing.

Any other mod you can think of that would make sense? Those were the only two I could think of but I wanted to make more.

Homemade bayonet, homemade grenade launcher, homemade underslung shotgun… They all make sense.
EDIT: Homemade bipod, homemade foregrip, homemade laser sight.

What, we need mil. spec weapons?

The FN SCAR is already in the game. Both the light and the heavy versions. The rest looks interresting.

Thanks and I noticed after I put up the download. I try to make sure it’s not in game before I add it but I overlooked that one… I’ve already got it removed for the next version.

Needs more green paint. Purple (magenta, wev) too. :wink:

(Though, come to think of it, we really need a way to define alt-colors for colorblind folks. :-/ )

Hmm I was wondering how does your survivor base spawn? A house inside town? Or does it appear in the wilderness like cabins and others?
