If you’re strong enough to rip a door off of its hinges, then you’re probably strong enough to not need that door.
Sleeping randomly puts you in dreamland. Depending on your morale (and RNG), you end up in a huge store full of power armors or in a minefield full of hulks.
If you die in your sleep, you wake up with a hit to morale. Same if you put on the power armor and then realize it was all a dream.
That’s honestly a cool idea for a mod. I can foresee a lot of technical difficulties, however.

Hitting them with a plastic bag just feels… lame.
Back on topic: Slam Jam Event, all NPCs become basketball players which pick up and throw basletballs at their targets, which will tend to bounce back near them after impact. Rare item called -Slam Sign- Bewitching B-Ball causes explosion on impact when thrown. Space jam music plays in the background. Constantly (with remixes too)
A map editor/town templater!
Got nothing to do? Want to help the community out?
Make a town! Make your own. Tell a story if you want. Make a damn map!
Basic: Place town layout on map. Buildings, lots. Select, place.
Advanced: Edit/Create buildings with custom loot spawns and modify room layouts.
Why is this a bad idea?
RACING BRAND SPONSORED FEATURE!
It was all so Cata could incorporate corporate sponsored ads! ADS ALL OVER! ADS ABOVE, ADS BELOW.
Race 10 tiles, get 10 minute unskippable video ad. THE FUTURE IS NOW.
Man, I love Stunts. That game was literally the best driving game of its era.
Oh, bad idea…hmmm.
This is way harder than coming up with good ideas. Thanks for the nostalgia Slax!
On the subject of nostalgia, wearable OOGA BOOGA mask from Crash Bandicoot!
BECOME INVINCIBLE
KILL EVERYTHING ON TOUCH
COLLECT ALL THE OOGA BOOGA MASKS
LISTEN TO THE BADASS OOGA BOOGA MUSIC
YOU ARE GOD NOW
Did someone mention banana mags?
I have a better idea.
Take your AK
Load it with baby carrots
Each shot is actually just you jerking the bolt and launching carrots in your mouth so you eat them
There is a chance of missing
There is a chance of critical hit
Just don’t forget to load actual ammo before shooting zombies.
Some of the NPCs you encounter are actually terminators. And you can’t tell which is which until the ‘NPC’ inexplicably turns hostile on you and tanking grenade launchers like it was peashooters.
Reinforced skeleton CBM. The CBM comes with micromachines that deposits a superalloy coating on the player’s skeletons. Mechanically, this means attacks below a certain damage threshold cannot lower any HP bars below 30 percent, to simulate the reinforced skeleton protecting important internal organs and being nearly unbreakable.
This CBM lowers the carry-weight limit due to the increased weight of the player’s bones. This CBM also cannot be uninstalled without a team of medical experts/CBM technicians with specialised tools, which doesn’t exist post-Cataclysm.
This should only work on mutants with improved regeneration, and should grant the player’s body a cutting value.
Also, the ability to “Eat” artifacts to incorporate their energies into your body to grant yourself unnatural abilities, such as flight, destructive-beam projection, impossibly resilient skin(and clothes would be immune to physical damage and only take dramatic damage), the ability to turn invisible at will, telekinesis, and probably an impossibly(and unhealthily) idealistic physique.
Headbutt. Deals much higher damage than unnarmed, with recoil in the form of head damage. Head armor reduces recoil and increases damage.
Headbutts through a wall
Pelvic Thrust: Deal low damage and incur torso damage and pain if it hits. but scars and nauseates anything with a mind. Its effectiveness greatly increases if the player gains mutations, especially mutations involving dangerous extremities.
And that’s quite on-topic, RAM, no need to take it further.

How is this different from how it works now?
Kevin isn’t bullshitting; I turned randoms off for a reason. There’s nothing quite like stumbling upon a hostile survivor in the dark and then eating three headshots in a row in one round from their stupid semi-automatic peashooter because they apparently mastered the art of Gun Fu.
That’s why I always shoot first.
Sadly I didn’t have a gun at the time. Future iterations of the bratling learned to love the Rivtech short shotgun for those “oh fuck” moments.
Shooting 3 times in 6 seconds isn’t an incredible accomplishment, it just means they know how to shoot. Which is probably a very viable thing to learn in the apocalypse.
NPC’s with flamethrowers however…
I’m disappointed that the “mininuke on a stick” was one of the very first ideas posted. ;A;
Time for Dumb Suggestion Plan B: dwarven NPCs. More concerned with mining and and looting liquor stores than normal survivor needs. Expect the town basements to become a haphazardly-interconnected maze if you have random NPCs enabled.
