Augh. If I had a nickel for every time someone couldn’t grasp the concept of using a turret manually…
Stand on the gunner’s seat, which is where the 120mm cannon is installed.
Empty your hands (unwield whatever weapon you’re wielding)
The experimental is still using the old version, the new version is currently undergoing a refactor to make up for the new vehicle changes and is expected to take some time. (It’s been three weeks and I’m expecting another two).
You can activate it mid-way, though if you’re swapping from the old version you’ll get error messages. Just skip those and it should be fine.
Came here to report an issue: I’ve been able to mount some turrets just fine, but I am unable to mount “mountable avalanche rifle” in any way. Also most turrets require mountable versions of their weapons, but avalanche doesn’t and breaks the pattern, so you probably would like to fix it.
This pneumatic turret won’t show up to install, I’ve tried with many configurations :(. Also how get this ammunition feeder you mentioned in first post?

@edit: I’ve just downloaded latest version of your mod from link in the first post and I’ve encountered a problem where there are missing few definitions: mainly turret engine, fcs, large engine.
There are also conflicting definitions of blunderbus and rslauncher
btw do you have github or other repository acc for this? Like clone of cataclysm dda to develop this mod? It could help avoid such problems and if u have I could help you developing the mod a little. Or at least fix bugs
so, I had the mainline version of this installed and was confused as it seemed to be missing stuff. Downloaded the file in the first post and installed that (removed old folder completely).
But I can’t seem to reload the ammo boxes. I can install them but they don’t have a fill option.
I noticed this mentioned a few times but didn’t see any resolution? Is there a way to fix this or do I have to use manual turrets for now?
So the latest experimentals broke the mod. It seems like they changed it so if cutting/bashing are 0, then they can’t/shouldn’t be included. So that part was a easy fix.
However, once that was changed all the turrets had 1 ammo.
Changed the clip size on them and the reload time and seems to be good. Also removed the racks since they aren’t needed now.
The only issue I see is that you can’t seem to reload more than 1 round at a time in a turret. Not a issue for most turrets, but the needler for instance, is a pain to reload.
Not sure what the best way is to “fix” that.

So is there a way to make blob feed work as a fuel now? I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to start up a generator, even messed with the generator json, nope, nothing happening. “That part isn’t refillable or you don’t have the proper fuel”. Plutonium isn’t liquid so I don’t understand how the minireactor works, and the gel reactor doesn’t.
Seems like the Vortex Engine stuff is broken. I cannot refuel it. I have the core, I have the engine and I cannot insert the core. The refill option is greyed out.
Nothing too bad after all. Most of the stuff still works smoothly. I’ll fix the Vortex engine/generator and plasma engine myself once I figured out how the minireactor is coded ^^
Hm I actually did not know that the plasma engine was unmodded content… well that kinda sucks that its bugged at the moment, guess it will take a while to fix then
I can only load one round in any bullet using turret. Is this part of the recent problems that will be fixed later, or am I just an idiot?
I can’t load an ammo belt, either, that I can figure out. Specifically, .50 caliber turrets automated.
… Evidence suggests I am. My wife thinks so anyhow.
Is there a homebrew way I can fix it, maybe? I don’t mind searching JSON, although I’m usually just following instructions from someone smart with initials C.T. or S.W.
