What if activating a towel or mop on spilled liquid would allow you to transfer the liquid back into a container? Clearly wouldn’t be a 1:1 ratio, but I have no idea how to balance things.
I’ve accidentally dumped a gallon of milk I had just made while attempting to mass dump all of the containers of bleach I had. It’s not a common use, but would come in handy when it happens.
Yeah. The OP’s idea is to let them be used for liquid retrieval.
And I want to like it, at least for the mop. Ultimately, though, I’m afraid the return would have to be so small (realistically, less than 10%) that in practice it wouldn’t be worthwhile. Maybe if you broke an entire bottle of gin, getting 2 shots back? Doesn’t seem that great.
Try this experiment.
Pour a gallon of milk on the floor.
Mop up the milk and wring it out into a bucket.
Transfer it to a bottle or something and measure how much milk you have.
Ask yourself if you still want to drink it.
Repeat experiment on sidewalk, asphalt, grass and bare dirt.
Similarly for chemicals, is bleach going to still be usable for things after you’ve mixed a bunch of dirt into it?.

Instructions unclear. Got beverage in my bottle of dirt.
