Yo, I think it might be the STS mod acting up. Do you have the latest version with the latest bug fixes?

STS isn’t even in my mod list, so it’s definitely not the cause.

After many tests, I decided to say screw it all and rip all the mods out except PK’s and CDDA itself, and the bug still persisted. I have proof of this. Please forgive the video quality:

The beginning shows the bug in action, And at 1:19 is without PK, showing that it is removed.

I did notice a couple odd things. Some of the error messages mentioned Infection and Flu. The thing is my status doesn’t reflect as such. Not sure if it’s a coincidence or something else.

Regardless, the removal of PK’s does eliminate the problem albeit in an extreme way. I’m not trying to be a jerk or anything, but this really bugged me to no end. I was hoping if you had any ideas what could be happening?

It seems you’re using an older build of CDDA and I’m using a newer one.
I can tell by the errors about hair.

0.D isn’t as perfect and bug-free as we’d like to think and current nightlies don’t have this issue, or at least they didn’t in my several runs of testing.

I have no clue what could be causing it in 0.D but not in the newest nightlies.

I’m using build 8624. I’m only 3 builds away from the new experimental. Those errors you see are because I manually took the mods out of my mod list.

The Hairs are from a mod before hairs were mainlined, mostly because these hairs have more customization options. So I’m not quite sure what older build of CDDA you’re talking about, especially since I am on 0.D. But if you really have no idea what’s causing this bug, I’ll just have to live with it. Not much choice, really.

I have that problem in my game. Abandoned for this, made a post without a right answer.
NPC died, quest fail. No reason.

What it could be is that he is carrying too much weight, or that his health value is low/radioactive. Using the debug, press 5 to view NPCs, select him, then check his HP, status, Needs, and Health

Cant fix the thing myself. Waiting for fix to start again.
I was using the pack of mods in the Malkus post that include this one.

Unless you can reproduce this error with my mod alone and help me find out what’s actually causing it, I can’t fix it.

Unable to place all specials is generally due to having too many mods that add overmap specials, too much content.

I already heavily reduced the mandatory overmap specials with this mod a while ago to leave room for other mods, using this plus all of the location mods with vanilla hasn’t had this error for me personally.

Other mods need to have less or no mandatory overmap specials to fix this.

The main game as a similar bug. The bug was NOT in your mod the first days of game. Appear after update.
Devs say they already fix the bug.
In other words: is not sure this mod as the bug, probably related with game version<–> mod version.

Game crashes with this error when trying to butcher whitefish, Dpwb from the discord adviced me to forward this one to you since PK’s is the only major mod I use and the crash doesn’t happen in a vanilla world.

Just updated to 8709 and I get this crash. Any ideas? Running PK, and a tileset but removing the tileset still causes this error.

fixed, let me know if you notice anything else, this mod is quite large and my main role has been to get it to work on new versions with help from others, so sometimes I or others make little mistakes

There’s a Patreon to keep this forum up if you’d like to donate to that, I don’t think I want to start a Patreon for myself unless I do a little more than I already do since others help me with this, and I’m largely maintaining and improving someone else’s work.
I do have plans for my own fancy mods/PRs to contribute to the game, but I’d like for some parts of the game to be more complete to implement my ideas first, and maybe then I’ll accept donations in some more regular form.
