Needful things (simple additions to improve the game)

It was always there. I guess it’s just a bit un-obvious.

%->? should allow changing bindings.
Except each section doesn’t have its own color, ‘Steel’ and ‘Parry’ are both the same color, and you have the great pink/purpley WEAPONS clashing with the dark brown that’s everywhere else on that section.

Speaking of which, the brown is far too dark for marking the most important information on the item.

Also on the right you have the all the usable options shrouded in what might as well be neon green, adding to the difficulty to properly read the darker colored information on the left.

I feel the separators just unnecessarily lengthen the everything.

But after reading Dragon’s post, I realised that the only thing that really bothers me is all the colors, I’d like an option to use the simple clear white-with-colors-used-sparsely that the previous UI used.
Could be worth making a suggestion+discussion issue on github.
Having a 2 color menu just for keys and values would probably be readable enough.

A trait that gives PC a morale boost when exposed to rain/snow. As if one enjoyed rain and snow.

Turning shot shells into slugs by either cutting them in such away that part of the shell body is taken with the shot and keeps it together or by bonding the shot together with things like wax, plastics, etc.

I want to see vastly more Makeshift Shotgun Rounds. Like, ghetto rigging shells with the most silly of things, some of which could prove to be surprisingly effective. Some of which wouldn’t work at all. If you don’t know what I mean, try watching some of the videos by Taofledermaus where they spend hours putting random stuff in shotguns.

I want to see Battery rounds, match-head bullets, silly putty, bouncy balls, and even coat hangers.

Source: Taofledermaus discovering that silly putty makes for terrifyingly effective shotgun rounds.

Has someone suggested playing musical instruments to be audible white flags toward hostile npcs?

I’ve never had the privilege of being detained in New England…but should patrol cars have seat belts in the back?

Because having a suspect eat the cab divider thingy after the officer gets into a fender-bender sounds like a lawyer’s wet dream.

I have, they do.

Weird how that varies place to place…

I have, they do.
Also, that sounds like a story worth telling.

I didn’t know it varied. I had assumed it sounded like a common-sense thing. :V

If law followed common sense US police officers would only be issued tasers outside of S.W.A.T. and other appropriate circumstances. There have been 1077 people killed this year alone by law enforcement in America, it’s a circus!

And that is why it’s called less-lethal, not non-lethal. ;w;

If common sense was a thing, school buses would have seat-belts in all the seats. I’ve heard of such things, but never seen it.

Scheisse, do they still lack those these days? >w>

Yep :frowning: it’s one of the factors that decided me on driving my kids to school in the mornings. The school official I spoke too said they weren’t necessary because the bus doesn’t exceed 40mph and has a few lights on it. I think they just don’t have the money to maintain them.

It varies from district to district. For instance, in New York everyone has seatbelts in the buses, in Massachusetts they dont.

Course, most school districts in NY get new busses every year due to the fact that they can make money that way, and in MA they dont seem to have those subsidies.

Something I just noticed…

Any recipe which calls for Pesto can substitute 10 Wild Herbs for it. The recipe for Pesto includes 10 Wild Herbs… as well as Cooking Oil, Pine Nuts, and Salt. Since the Pesto recipe only makes a single portion of Pesto, that means that you’re wasting all those extra ingredients whenever you craft Pesto directly. Is there any chance of increasing the portion size of the Pesto recipe, to make it more efficient?

Well being a New Englander, I can tell you the cops are not always friendly. But that ironically is rather normal >_>

On a side note, I’ve hitched a ride in a cop car. They are COMPLETELY blocked from the front seating. The ones I’ve been in are clear plexi windowed to watch the perp. and hard plastic wall under the clear part and looks like a hard plastic mold of a seat. It is not comfortable and they get pissed off when you kick anything…even though chances are you won’t break the plastic couch you are on.

Think of the plastic seating you would have on a roller coaster. It makes it easier to wash out the blood, piss, spit, etc and so on with a hose. >_>

Yeah, plastic divider.

Any way to add a division to the cop car without devoting a whole vehicle tile to a partition?

Probally not without developing some sorta bit that only allows you to move in certain directions.
