Once you found a source of salt like a swamp sure you can do that.
If you don t you can consider my strategy.
Or you know, dehydrated spider, brought to you by solar powered foodco.
Great for crumbling into protein powder so that you can pretend that delicious protein shake you’re drinking isn’t made of huge-ass spiders.

L-leave spiders alone! You m-m-monsters!

I would love to ride an ordinary horse, Let alone a Giant Spider!

Spiders are easy after a while. I killed 30-odd and didn’t take a point of damage.

I started with lab background and fast zombies (double zombie speed).
Mapgen decided not to spawn a lab and put me in a field instead.
So I walk around, acquire a lucky spawn of a combat knife (best common weapon) AND meth (best drug).
I wake up at day 2, walk around a corner and face… a hulk. Hulk at day 2 and not “just” a hulk - a hulk with double speed (because of the mod).

But “it” didn’t “happen”. I got smashed into a wall, snorted some meth and tore that double-speed hulk a new one with my combat knife, toe talon and meager 2 melee skill.

Then I went down a basement and saw a NPC. The NPC was afraid of me, so I decided to punch him in the face. He stopped being afraid and wrecked me with a burst.
