I currently have a hunting knife stashed in my boot with 30 butchering quality can I keep it in my boot and still use it to butcher or will I have to pull it out?

I’d actually been wondering that too, but thought I’d found the answer was no. I’ll have to test it some time.
Occasionally I’ve noticed a bug crops up where it won’t use the butchering quality of a holstered knife, once it ignored even the ‘cut’ quality as a tool, but by the time I go to report the bug there’s an update out and the bug has re-fixed itself.
Can someone also test this for if you put a knife in a boot please? I would but my boots broke.
