So I accidentally chose ‘sheat weapon’ after activating my ankle holster which already held a steak knife, and then proceeded to choose the hunting knife I was wielding to be sheated. As a result, I now have an empty ankle holster and both the steak knife and the hunting knife have completely disappeared from the game.
EDIT: erm… for some reason I found both knives back sheated in my boots.
