My town appears to be totally overrun with slimes. They’re everywhere! Do they come out more when it’s raining? It’s currently stormy. I went into the slime pit and killed everything in there, kinda thought that’d stop the bastards spawning. But oh well, much rather a horde of them than walkers.

Day 8 and going very well. Been rocking my wood axe and military get-up since the start and all’s good. Slowly picking through the town, need to now get my flatbed and bring it in to fill with fuel. Hoping to find some jerry cans. Then it’s off on an adventure I suppose. I want to do the truck up with spikes and shit, too. Need to increase mechanics a little first but got everything I need I think.

This game rocks.

EDIT: Damn, hardware store was a bust. Nearly nothing in there…

Well, things got interesting just now.

I found a military outpost so I went to loot it. It had two turrets on each side.

I took out every single one by ramming through the fence with my vehicle. With one exception that was too close to the building inside the fence. Took that one out by leaning out of the car door and shooting it with a .45 bullet. And it exploded.

There were lots of corpses, some with useful stuff. I found a lot of weapon mods on them although nothing too special.

And inside the actual building… was bugger all except some MREs.

So I went to some local houses instead and found a basement almost literally FULL of guns. I’m not sure what I should use now. I have so many.

SCAR-H, SCAR-L, G36, FN FAL, M14, Remington 700, Cx4 STORM, Savage 11F, M4A1, RM51, SKS, Mini-14, G3, AK47.

I have all of them.

But which are actually best to use? I’m using an M14 as my main rifle since I can’t accidentally go “trigger happy” with it. But otherwise…?

Yeah but some of them have the same ammo types. I’m not sure how much difference the recoil value on a gun actually makes to the overall recoil. Looks like it would be a minimal difference compared to that which the bullets cause.

Well then take the one that looks the most badass.

Then add mods to it so it becomes more badass.

Lately, zombies seem to be able to spot me outside my vision even at night (I have Fey NV) with absolutely no lights on and making 2 noise a step.

No idea what’s going on. I step into town and every zombie for leagues starts swarming in.

Even in the wilderness I keep getting tracked down by random zombie dogs.

So I have an artifact that gives me schizo. I take meds usually, but apparently it acted up and made me fall asleep. In my Solar Roller III. While driving through a city. At night. With cruise control. Fuck.

I careened off buildings, cars, and zombies, my fusion turrets sowing destruction in my wake. I finally woke up and stopped the car in a part of the city I apparently did not clean out earlier. The whole front of the car is destroyed, but luckily the only important thing that was destroyed was my kitchen unit. Amazingly, my windshield is unharmed. I’m so glad I steel plated everything important, plus the whole front of my car. It’ll probably take me at least an in-game week to do repairs.

EDIT: So, I drove to a nearby garage in the morning. I made a working car and drove that in there, too. I boarded up the windows with the shelves. Then I used the car parts to repair the Solar Roller III. I have Saprovore and a lot of meat, so I was set. I used my vehicle’s welding rig for the repairs. After all that preparation, it only took me two days. I guess repairs are faster than I thought.

I just got a random world spawn name. Wesley Chapel.

So I had just gone into a mine, defeated the Thing, and got an OK artifact. Also there was a bubble car in the parking lot, so I took the minireactor. I was looking through all my artifacts, seeing which ones were good and which weren’t. Then I turned on the fusion turrets in my car for whatever reason. One shot a rat, and instead of casings, they were Harps of Something. I turned off the turrets and decided to sleep, as it was night.

I saved the game, which crashed. I restarted the game to find my car gone and my artifacts none-ified.

My car had my weapons, artifacts, food, loot, chemicals, all of my belongings. I’m basically fucked.

I’m going to build a new car now, in the new version. RIP, Solar Roller III. I’ll miss you.

Return to cata after a few months of abstinence (read, calculating orbital trajectories in KSP,)

Ohh I remember that, it’s pretty much harmless, does nothing. last I checked anyway. try shoot it with a few rocket launchers or run it over.

Black road is too impossible though, but whatever, this should at least add a little bit of spice to the game. It really has gotten too dull for me.

I started a game, and was curious, “Where’s the gun store?” I went searching for it in the nearby town, and encountered a Zombie swarm, of Soldiers, Classics, and Shockers. my final words: "where’s the Frckin’ Gun Store!?"
the next time I started, I discovered I had started on the same map, in a second Evac shelter nearby my starting point. I checked my map, and found the gun store was right on the side. I head out for it, but was (again) encountered by a zombie swarm, of Classics, Shockers, and Shreikers. I dashed for the gun store, got there, grabbed a gun (Mossberg 500), and noticed that it was out of ammo! I dashed for another one with a 308 Winchester, and picked it up, grateful it had ammo. I killed 2 Shreikers and 1 Classic before being killed by the Shocker. my final words: “I found the Gun Store”

Haha epic.

I’ve been playing a game in Dynamic for a while. Got a bit dull so I’ve started a new one in Static Black Road. Even so, spawn factor of 0.5…

Evac shelter was right on the outskirts of a small town, and it had nothing in it. I thought it was too close so didn’t really want to smash furniture around, so armed with just a stick and a rock I went in a little, to the outer houses, hoping for something good. The first enemy was a boomer, which of course literally BOOMed. I lucked out with a dumpster behind a restaurant and found a pipe. Which I needed to fight off the small wave.

A little wounded I carried on, I needed some gear badly. Then, there was a shrieker. Thought that if I hid behind a corner, as it came round I might get lucky with a crit. Nope, it just yelled, and loudly, before I pulverised it.

So I gapped it, ran like a little girl hahaha. Some ways away I found a lone house, devoid of anything that wanted to eat my brains, or limbs. Found a .45 handgun, a 9mm USP and MP5, and a bit of ammo. A few mods but not much else though. A good place to rest up a bit.

The next day I explored further SE, away from the town. FEMA camp. It was pretty hard out, but I made use of the guns. The soldiers had a few more bits and pieces, a nice .45 SMG (TDI Vector), a lot of junk food, a few tools… And a hulk all locked up in a lab.

After messing around hauling from there for a bit, I noticed a mansion a little east. Just gone there and fought my way through 2/3 of it with my tRusty pipe. Got a bad bite though but luckily I had a First Aid… All my gear’s getting ripped up though and getting a bit beaten up.

But that’s gonna change…

So I don’t know what a lot of the guns are. I google image them. It’s interesting. The Vector is pretty ugly. But the way it minimises recoil sounds pretty clever, not that I know fack all about guns and shit.

Bears ain’t a problem for me no more, i’ve got a big ass shotgun which i found in a house’s basement, i learned to make ammo for it from books and i got my skill high enough to kill bears from 2-3 tiles with one-shots.

The problem now is that there are fungi-monsters all around my base…
