Running in circles around heaps of wrecks (sharp) kiting zombies over the stuff, then stabbing at them when they make they way to me.

Ive wiped out whole malls by letting the zombies smash up a big section of stuff then kiting them over it over and over again, dont even have to kill anything personally.

meh, survived 2-day long siege in barricaded garage, made myself a electric vehicle, finished just when things started to look very bad. rushed out ramming trough horde of zombies… and off with that forsaken city. but then engine stops in middle of nowhere, it seems my battery ran out of juice.

one week later

those solar panels wont generate any energy afterall.
good thing you really cannot starve with all those furry-snacks coming to donate themselves for food.

remember folks, herbivore-ism can be cured with purifier!

Has the frequency of zombie spawns been increased in recent versions? I’ve been having a very hard time adapting to the changes.

This is what I faced two hours after walking into town. I had not fired a gun, or done anything else to produce a significant amounts of noise. Before I even entered the city I had to face off against a hulk and two dozen other assorted zeds.

I didn’t save the kill screen, but I’d racked up 450+ kills over the course of 4 days.

ive been playing cataclysm probably since around the summer '12 and man, i was so hooked. it was such a great game. i played it for weeks, maybe even months. i got kinda bored of it though and went back to playing dwarf fortress and slowly learning how to program (took a C++ course in college, messed with pdcurses and stuff, now im using python with libtcod and trying to put together a text adventure rpg). now im going to school again though, not much time for playing. but im really glad you guys are continuing this project and i just wanted to say, you guys got one more fan here following the forums. ill definitely give it a go if i see something interesting enough. keep up the good work!

well, i noticed Z’s are more active during the day, and tbh they are more attracted to sounds they make.

that told, i had hulk spawn/tele/deepstrike inside fortified garage (boarded windows and doors) where i sleept during the day - no entrances were smashed.

I actually only have a motorbike. It’s actually a pretty cool artifact… that I lost because I drove on three landmines while cruising at around 80kph to exterminate a fifth town’s population. D: McShooter III has to find the body of his father, McShooter II!

U don’t need a truck or artifacts. All u need is quad-bike, 3 steel plates in front of it and engine big enough to run this thing around 80kph. You can boom-zoom anything just about forever (provided u have enough fuel).

I ran into a town, got gear ran out. Find a mine with a semi, load up everything then find there in no engine. I die the next day. From a pack of wolves and army zombies. In that time I killed 2/3 cougars, a wolf and lost three shirts due to zombies

Whats happening in my Apocalypse?

Ive got a mobile base ive been building which could also be seen as a en-masse looting machine, (Yo coder guys add some RV stuff like say In-vehicle oventops/cooking devices)
(would post a picture but i need to find a new image hosting site)

Anyway, ive been travelling through this INSANELY long winding forest road and finally stopped at the smallest town ive seen in Cata so far. ever. 2 houses a gas station a library and a parking lot. i spent a couple of days clearing it of zombies which luckily did not take to long, and started gathering more raw materials to addon to my mobile base, i went to sleep inside of the mobile base because the houses got in a fight with a grenade, i woke up half way through the night 57 degrees frozen cold and 83 pain i put on every piece of clothing i could and tried to go back to sleep, only to wake up again 2 hours later ON FIRE. i managed to survive somehow and when i woke up 0 pain and 100% healthy. my cold from the rain was even gone.

it was quite possibly the most tense and unusual night in cataclysm ive ever had.

I got one now.
I show up, get the dog quest. When I go into town I get my standard gear, get the dog and then somehow loose the dog.
While running from the undead I find a trap nest, grab a crossbow and run back to the shelter. I learn allot from the guy when he turns hostile and attacks me. I kill him, grab this things (excepting his LIVE grenade) and run into the fields. I’m now in the first LMOE shelter and am now inside with no batteries. I knew I should have grabbed those radios and such… I have no fuel, no rags and can’t make a light sores besides lighting everything on fire, and I really don’t want to do that.
