What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

That a thing from PK’s mod? I really need to try try that out. Sounds metal.

It is so metal. It’s a Doom level in Cataclysm. Be sure to bring big guns and fireproof armor or you die.

Got a cargo carrier online, driving it and my modest stash of food and weapons around.

Ive found 2 artifacts this game so far;

  • 1 is an adrenaline rush of suddenly pain. 2 charge.
  • 1 is a radiation of modest map scouting.

So now I have guns of various sizes, ammo for said guns, and artifacts to boot. I have booze, military armor, and I found a crate of booms. I have a fire axe and a metal stick for melee.

Lately MMR has had very little schedule. I’ve been repairing the Solar Roller VI.5 outside a mid-sized city. This afternoon I woke up to find the Solar Roller surrounded in a perfect circle of splattered zombies. I’m so glad I invested in those laser cannons.

Well, after your vehicle got trashed the first time you put in my mod, Im glad it fixes itself.

For a while my car was more fragile than me. I don’t even know how many times the whole thing got wrecked. Five? Six? It still sometimes gets wrecked when zombies walk into it at night when the lasers can’t see them.

Just keep a floodlight on. Mount them and only use them for sleeping. Or leave them on and murder everything.

I have had quite the luck with ammo lately, so I’m all out guns with this character. I need to draw him whenever I can!

That’s what I do now. Except it isn’t so easy to craft floodlights any more, and one of mine is broken.

EDIT: A grappler just grabbed me and pulled me in. It didn’t end well for him.

Wearing a pear of fit over sunglasses, over some fancy sunglasses, over a Guy Fawks mask

Yea, I think im going to nerf glasses.

Damn, hell castles are tough. I overheated and had to turn back. My gear got ripped up pretty bad. I lost my legacy survivor utility belt, which had a hunting knife holstered in it. You can’t do that any more. AND I DIDN’T EVEN GET INSIDE THE BUILDING

Theyre real pains sometimes. Best is to use turrets to soften up the horde and run inside a building. What did it?

the arachnotrons are the ‘strongest’.

I hate mancubi. They lit me on fire, which doesn’t burn me but it does make me overheat.

My survivor Iddeler finally becomes a “prime”, but there is still a long way to go.

He started by mid-autumn. Now it is Spring 10th. It took him one week for bleach, one week for ammonia, one day for blob, one day for triffid meat, the rest of winter cooking the intermediate mutagen and purifier, while waiting for spring, and several spring days grazing through the forest for bird egg. After some alpha mutagen and alpha serum that consumed all the ingredients, his humanity transcended into “prime”! But each of his stats is only one point higher than it used to be. So he started another safari, and returned with more blob, triffid meat, and eggs. After some mutagen and serum that consumed almost all the ingredients, only his perception reached 15, the maximum. What was then left was a gallon jug of mutagen. Iddeler thought, as he is now a post-threshold alpha, random mutating will push him further down the road. He quaffed some mutagen, and got weak scent, and he quaffed some mutagen, and got snout and rat tail! The tail prevented him from wearing power armor, and thus made it very difficult to get more blob. He turned the rest of mutagen into purifier, which turned his tail into a little stub, and meanwhile reverted his progress a lot, including the “prime perception”. He never expected that a post-threshold mutation could be removed by purifier.

The net gain:
stat: 8/8/8/8 → 10/8/8/10
trait: robust genetics

Iddeler plans to try again. His slightly improved perception will make it easier to collect bird egg. Before that, however, he needs a change of pace, he thinks, looking at the map: There is a distant Lab to the north of his dwelling.

I AM GOD

decided to level up unarmed at a mall.
wearing a suit of plate armor, jedi cloak with added kevlar, with tai chi as martial art.
reached 4 unarmed, along with my high str it really is effective.
just utterly destroyed an hostile npc that tried to mug me with a pipe 22 rifle.

Would their little napalm exploding after it hit the ground (granting you 1 turn to flee) help? The point of them is that they are horrible.

Don’t nerf the enemies, buff me! The mancubi are fine as they are. I like a good challenge.

Seriously, is nobody noticing that I passed 100,000 kills? You guys are seriously cramping my style.

Yes, that is more than a ton of deadbodys, what percentage would you say that you have eaten.

also sidenote, my recent “attempted” stealth build does not provide much benefit as the zombies are very good at noticing things.
