What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Well, yeah, I did forget to mention leaving a pile of zombie corpses in front of the door, opening it, then staying the reality bubble until the zombies soak all the bullets, but that takes forever. Goo canisters could maybe do it, too, but you’d need a LOT of them.

And no, it’s not just digging down and tunneling in - getting the stuff together to dig or mine stairs is a pain. Easy to do, though, if you’ve got what it takes…

like they said, furniture/push-able vehichle? You didn’t seem to say no to that one.

Maybe make a vehicle of a frame with a board on it and keep that between yourself and the turret? You’d still have to open the door, though.

So like a mantlet?

why so complex?

put a turret on a ramrod, spiked that, and put a camera/mirror up there too.

ram into the metal door

It does involve a vehicle, but it doesn’t involve destroying the turrets. That’s all I’m going to say, though - I don’t want the devs to change anything related to this.

thats what I originally meant. Just building vehicles to block line of sight. That has been a known way to block turret line of sight so you can get passed them/ close enough to them to hack them. … is it possible to build on top of the turrets if you get your vehichle close enough? that would be hacky…

in my experience turrets shoot at me anyway but they hit heavy duty boards covered in military composite instead of me

If you block line of sight with something opaque they shouldn’t. If you can see turrets without a mirror, they can see you, even if there is something that blocks their bullets.

i see turetts with camera system and anti material turret still targets me, all other robots ignore me (except tankbot, i never engaged one in day or close combat during night, only sniping with turbolaser)

Ummm… did you just make a Pokemon out of an Arachnotron? D:

Not quite. But I did catpure it.

Its still hostile to me, and its capture rate was abysmall. Took 6 tries.

And Idk if I can throw the balls at them, or throw them to release them.

A few other issues exist, but I think the idea of ‘catching’ things has value for a nonserious game.

I will bet testing out if I cant capture friendly Zombie slaves with filled duffel bags on. And if they retain their loots

^^^ They do. Zombie slaves with bags of items can be put into ‘balls’ and retain their item pack list.

My NPC companion now wants me to find a farm house… sheesh.

Same here. He’s going to have to wait his pretty little head till I get around to finish cramming 4 good and previously functioning vehicles into my RV Road monster build & scout looter mini car. And move all my items from my first base into them. THEN I’ll go find him a farm, and he can WAVE to it as we pass by.

Scratch that. I’ll let him piss on the door frame while I loot the place and then we are going…Or else he stays permanently and I refile the items I loaned him and whatever else hits the ground. If it comes to that it will include his highly useful bones.

It sometimes catches me by surprise how the game will actually model things you take for granted, that we just naturally assume are just normal in video games rather than how they function in real life.

Like just now, I learned that if a vehicle’s wheel runs over an item, it can potentially damage/destroy that item.

…I’ll admit, I kinda wish I had known that BEFORE attempting to reposition my car for easier sorting of every possession I own. I mean, it’ll fit easier in the car now that it’s 600 volume lighter, but still.

But I guess I didn’t need all those books that I looted from 4 mansion libraries. Or all of my lighters. Or food and water. But at least the bullets that were in that pile didn’t blow up when they got squashed. >_<

Well, much like in real life, you would need for the bullets to be exposed to hi heat/ open flame or for the primer to be hit with fairly significant force for that to be a danger. The game doesn’t simulate the minuscule potential of something accidentally hitting the primer and setting it off outside of a gun, so your safe there.

Speaking of bullets exploding/discharging, is it possible to blow up bullets at all or set off other explosives with non explosives? I would guess they would either be set off in a chain reaction or simply be destroyed with no explosion.

Someone once told me that in order to breach metal gates in labs, it’s best to put some shotgun ammo on the ground and then light it with a match - worst idea ever: although there was a dent in the gates, my body got reduced to few splatters of blood and gore.
So yeah - bullets explode.
