What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I said TASTES like chicken. Didn’t say what it was. This is snake. The cat is in the other bowl

XD poor cat got creamed at so hard

Yeah, poor pussy.

Edit for ninjas: Yea. I’ll take care of any neglected pussies, beats eating cat meat. MUCH better.
A shrieker zed cornered a cat. It spent the night shrieking at it while trying to get a single hit in.
I had to put it out of its misery. The cat was left unharmed.
Haha

Should cats be considered small animals?

As best I can tell, they provide one artifact (in the center, under the main part) and infinite, safe melee training.

Also, if you’re playing with the magical stuff mod, they occasionally drop essence.

Just wondering but how dumb is it to make a base on the ground level of a lab with experimental z-levels on? Unfortunately, that’s my only current option for survival since i couldn’t find any working vehicle, am too far away from anywhere and the night is coming… (butchered some zombie corpses on the lower level just to be sure they don’t revive)

Depends.

If you can clear them out theyre pretty useful. Gotta get into each cell and burn out the critter smashing on the walls or other wise purge them. Once clear of life, nothing should respawn

As a quick question, does everything actually burn? There should be at least some things that aren’t flammable, like maybe lab walls (?).

Let Get some!!! I made it midnight of season 5 day 5. Gonna test me my armor without a fully kitted out envio protection setup.
I Will set my skills to 6. for this, and let the game gen for 2 minutes or so a short distance from the site.

Ummm.

Thats a little excessive. I have 90 hp per part, so thats a fair lot of damage.

What is the Space Marine armor? Is it a mod?

It’s part of PK’s mod, along with the rest of the Doom stuff.

THE ASPIRIN HAS VOLUME WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK

Everything that can stack enough to have volume EVER (so, everything but lighters and cash cards, I think, in vanilla) now rounds up instead of down, 1 aspirin takes one volume… but then, 100 aspirin also take one volume, too. The objective, as I understand it, was to keep people from abusing the system by carrying 1 less of each stack (99 aspirin, 7 bacon, etc).

I think it’s quite a bit excessive, as I like to carry just a couple of each pill, just in case, and carrying 1 of each type of pill takes more volume than a rifle, but I understand the idea behind it. Instead, I think they should just make volume like weight - able to handle decimals.

No, there are plenty of things that don’t burn. Lab walls is indeed one of them. Stone floors is another. Dirt, steel walls, there are several things… but not very many.

Labs make GREAT bases (too good, in many cases, really). Currently, they are quite safe to use, even uncleared (it’s usually wise to completely clear any level you are going to use, though - brutes eventually evolve into hulks, which can smash their way through almost anything).

The only danger of living in an uncleared lab is when you have hordes turned on, there may be constant noise from locked up zombies (or migos) banging on the walls.

One other thing is that the awesome loot room at the bottom is sometimes open, and the secubots will eventually kill themselves on the dissectors. The explosion no longer instaly vaporizes the loot (that was really silly), but it can do damage. Damaged mininukes are radioactive, for instance, and damaged laser rifles are less accurate. Also, recipe books are fairly easily destroyed. A pretty mild problem, really, but you might regret it in the late game.

Are quantum solar panels still instantly vaporized? They were last time I checked.

Probably, but they’re also vaporized by breathing on them lightly, so…

Is there a effective way to clear out rooms and such with turrets, say a military bunker? Usually they fill my character with lead before I can even move or arm EMPs, or sometimes other turrets fire on me after I dispatch one. Also, is there any worthwhile loot at prisons? I tried checking one and was nearly obliterated by the bots inside.

Turn off your light before opening doors. Also, you can sometimes see if a room has a turret in it because the wall will be lit up when no visible lights are on it. If you can see one and it can’t see you, chuck an EMP at it or shoot it to death.

Prisons don’t really have anything. They’re full of muscular zombies and secubots and aren’t worth it.

and remember that grenades can do indirect damage, you do not need to throw directly at target

to safety open a bunker doors without id try making small 1 tile wide ram at your car and use it to destroy doors you can even mount a automatic turret (like pulse laser turret)

Oh. Whenever I came across metal doors, I just melted them down with my acetylene torches. It’s much less of a hassle than trying to drill through or blow it up. Can you still do this?

I don’t really know of any good way to deal with the 6 turrets in a bunker, other than the military ID or using a control laptop before I open it (and they kill each other off).

That said, I do know a way to get in and loot the bottom floor without killing or subverting the turrets, and it only uses common stuff… but I never tell what it is, because I don’t want the devs to ‘fix’ it!
