Siphoning! Great idea! I forgot I could do that.
I’ll just go smash up the nearest house.
I don’t think I have enough spikes to plow it, just a vanilla semi until I can find a public works.
You don’t need spikes to plow it. If you have a bloody Semi, then HOUSES don’t even really bar your path.
I’m preparing for my descent into the giant metropolis of HELLVILLE! Or something. Copious amounts of debug menu later I shall begin my journey into my Size 11 City with x50 spawn density. I shall relate my tale here.
I’m planning on making a new house now that I’ve finally found an actual spider lair. (Cleared out already of course.) I should probably post screenshots of the houses I’ve made previously to the screenshots thread before doing so perhaps? I think I’ve made a few nice ones in past versions anyhow.
Kind of my favorite activity in Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead really is making a home base from almost scratch. I just prefer it to have a basement too so I don’t have to clutter up the main living and working area too much.
What exactly does the welding rig do?
Semi-Truck guy lost his semi truck, but found an RV! He fixed the engine with an identical RV in the same town, and is gradually bringing it back to full green (those goddamn rabbits and bushes really do your headlights and windshields in after a while).
Raided a sarcophagus like a dumb, completely forgetting any kind of anti-radiation procedures (apart from a copious infusion of apple vodka), and am now holed up in a public works, vomiting fungaloid spores.
Did the radiation cause the spores? I somehow walked away from the HWS alive with very little change in mutation (stubby wings and something affecting my eyewear).
Any suggestions on how to fix the spore problem? It really gets in the way of long activities like cutting trees into logs and planks.

Radiation shouldn’t cause Fungal Infection. Encounter a Flaming Eye or teleport? Get spore’d on by a Fungaloid?
I was carrying around a portal generator for a while, but then I found an actual portal and thought that it wasn’t worth having the option.
I do recall my character getting boomered in “classic zombies” mode, which didn’t feel right to me. Does that mean I’ve come in contact with an Eye?
Can I fix this with antibiotics/one of my flu shots/ecstasy?

If you encountered a flaming eye, you really should know about it: it stares at you, you shudder, and you just racked up some Teleglow. If you actually used a Portal, then that’s probably it right there: teleglow.
Fungal Infection needs either Blood Filter or Royal Jelly. Sorry.
Thanks for the information. I’ll keep my eye out for a blood filter CBM.
In the meantime I can train my melee/dodge with these young fungaloids.
(In the character screen, I’m not listed with a fungal infection)
As an addition, I just tried sleeping and my “arms grew fungal sprouts” or the like, causing my arm HP to drop down halfway.
Uh…I’d go with your arms, rather than the character screen. Blood Analysis would definitely detect the parasite but at this stage, I’d find a Lab…quick. They tend to stock Royal Jelly (the rooms with long rows of counters) as well as possibly having Blood Filter.
Ah well, nothing I can’t handle. Although sometimes the fungaloids spawn as phantom monsters. (The visible monsters that can kill you even though they’re not there.)
I’ve pretty much reached end-game, and with no labs or silos, I think it’s time to end the character.

Huh. If fungaloids can show as hallucinations…they’d better not be able to infest you that way. Keep the file around, if you would. Might be worth mentioning at the Garage.
Na, phantom monster is a already-reported bug. High school labs, beehives and anthill also stock royal jelly sometimes. Might be worth looking into those.
OMG this is gonna be awesome.
Just started half a tick away from a suburb, hands on a weapon and eyes on the single Swimmer Z that entered the viewfield… they just suddenly begun pouring from broken windows, surrounding me but not for kisses.
Last time I went down that soon (well without being just careless) when engaged in combat was with Whales’ build.
