… I was thinking more along the lines of Nuclear thermal detonators but yeah… that too.

Notice anything interesting?
Hahahaha! You are my kind of scum!
Walk out into the yard to find the front of my armored car ripped to pieces. Tires are intact though, so I guess it’s time to go get that Humvee I spotted on my last excursion, and convert it into something unreasonable.
(Is it just me that finds it odd that a Humvee has better armor and weapons than an armored car?)
Humvee= Awesome vehicle made by the military that can withstand bullets and some explosions.
Armored car= A car that has been converted into a death car by welding shoddy metal armor and a machine gun a previous survivor.
Humvee>Armored car.
So, I went to check on some of my memorial files, to see how my previous survivors had died. I remembered killing a really tough zombie in melee on my first character. I looked back, and sure enough, I managed to survive an encounter with a Zombie Hulk on my very first guy, in melee even. I had no idea how lucky I got at the time.

Found a katana for my lumberjack character, of whom I have an extra two levels in melee and cutting weapons, leading to him becoming the samurai of the apocalypse, cutting his way through entire hordes. After his third town, second zombear, and about eight levels in melee I decided it was time to retire him.
What about just retiring the katana instead?
Hey, you know how Labs have mutagen and serums in them?
Yeah, this guy is gonna be in a lot of pain quite soon.
Just realized that random npcs are awesome. Yay!

(Is it just me that finds it odd that a Humvee has better armor and weapons than an armored car?)
Humvee= Awesome vehicle made by the military that can withstand bullets and some explosions.

Oh, is that “official”? That would explain it, and given the amount of armor they have been slapping on that poor Humvee chassis lately, I guess it’s a natural progression. I was kinda picturing something like this for the armored car:
That’s actually a wheeled APC though.
Anyway, I brought that Humvee back to my farm, cut it apart and welded it to the outside of my armored car. Brought another two cars home, melted them down into hard plating, and, yeah…
Also, charge rifles galore.
Decided to get back to work on the land barge, which mostly just means dismantling cars, collecting seatbelts and hunting down large electric engines…
That said, so many versions have passed between then and now that moving my save over has plonked me down in a freakish hellscape of fungal-wall rivers and free standing stained glass windows.
I look forward to getting the land barge rolling and generating some sane surroundings.
Arent armourd cars used by bank companies (or security companies) to guard large ammounts of money that are being transferd?
It’s a pretty wide term…
German military, WWII:
US military, today:
Transporting money and other valuables:
Transporting people the Mexican drug cartels would like to see dead (everyone survived):
The Popemobile:
And finally, what I guess Cata’s armored cars look like (also Mexican, but on the drug cartel side):
Public Works at spawn rate 50.
That also happens to be the approximate number of shockers in there.
Without the bionics that protects you from electrical shocks, it would have been murder, but it was still pretty bad, since there were also something like 30 smokers mixed in with the other 150 zombies. Especially when you fumble around in the smoke without realizing the bionic has powered off, and you step up next to two shockers. Closest to death I’ve been since the first spring I think.
NPC came at me with a flamethrower. A flamethrower!
I survived, but… Jesus, why T.T
“Finished” my dreadnought. All the stuff I stored up in it over the past two seasons were all stuffed into the cargo bay. I’ll figure out how to better sort it out once I find a good spot to settle down. I went east a far way and finally found a river. I’ll scout it out before I lay my roots.
Do you know what 26000 pounds of tank looks like?
A slightly modified ambulance next to it for a size comparison. Yes, it’s actually drivable. 2 large electric motors and about 10 storage batteries underneath the 25 solar panels along with the water tanks. I’ve yet to find everything for the Kitchen Buddy. Most of this was unplanned, so it’s not as pretty as I would like, but I’ll worry about the aesthetics once I haul it all to the river’s edge. A vehicle this large is as ponderous as a zombear. The game was just not meant to handle a vehicle the size of a house.
Shortly before packing up, the crops I planted earlier that spring bore crops. Strawberries and cannabis. Unfertilized, they yielded quite a hefty amount. I’ll have to run tests to see what fertilization does exactly.
It took a few hours in real life, but I managed to get it to the river over the course of a week. It also rained all the various types of rain - but especially acid rain - the whole while. The storage batteries were all but depleted by the time I got to the river. There’s a big issue with the weather system right now. Nowhere in the world does it rain for weeks on end.
The vehicle doesn’t move at the rate of the NASA crawler, but the game as a whole does when I’m driving the damn thing. Maneuvering through highways going through thick forests was like threading a gauntlet of needles several miles long. In the process, I picked up a few more seatbelts from cars and two V12 engines. Now it’s a matter of getting back to the farm to get my ambulance, the vehicle I use to transport large volumes of materials back and forth. About 3600 volume worth.
I decided to make an extra save so I could play a nomadic life, after a long, long, LONG journey I found a missile silo. I had nowhere near the skill to hack its computer so I cheated and got the books and learned enough to use it. I nuked myself and left the area and spawned in an APC and spawned in 10 mininukes and activated them. (I cheated so I had to die C:) for obvious reasons I died.
