A better organized Bionics menu. Thereâs a lot there that is very user unfriendly; like how it automatically assigns keybindings to passive bionics that will never use them. Or how it divides your bionics between only two tabs, active and passive, with the former always having more than double the latter; leading to a list that can easily become too long for any but the bigger monitors to display in full. Thereâs also no way to sort your bionics, so theyâll always display in the order you installed them.
Number two is valid, number one not so much. Steam burns can potentially cause a significant amount of damage. Dousing yourself to protect from fire is one of those little âcommon senseâ things that âeverybody knowsâ that is actually a very, very bad idea. Ask any firefighter.
Something to add to this: It doesnât happen in most games, but if you install enough bionics to run out of keybinds, thereâs no way to reassign a keybind to a bionic which doesnât already have one, in game. Short of editing your save, which is intimidating as hell for most, youâre shit out of luck.
Playing as a plant should be a major world-turner. I think itâs the only mutation line that mutates you outside of the earth-like animal category, unless you count cephalopod, since the colour of your blood and that of the mi-go are the same if you are one⌠either a coincidence or a plot device if you ask me.

On to the plant side of things. I play as one often enough that if I learn how to make a mod Iâll do this myself eventually but if I donât get to it these would be nice additions to playing as a plant:
- A positive alternative to the âsunlight dependantâ mutation trait if youâre lucky enough to get it, âSunlight empowerredâ. Basically the opposite, makes you faster in sunlight. Or it could still make you slower in darkness but make you faster in light.
- Triffids should become neutral or friendly if youâre a plant.
- Usually neutral fungoids and the like should become actively hostile if youâre a plant.
- Being covered in spores or having a fungal infection should be a greater threat to you.
- Spawning minions of various types should be a possibility through a âseedingâ mechanic. Youâll need to tend to them and plant them as you would normal crops, but once grown you would be able to make use of them. Iâm thinking a plantling npc-like entity for a generalized minion should do the trick, while a fighter, a liquid holder, a carrier with a lot of storage, and a suicidal cactus needle-fragmentation bomb type would be just lovely.
- Similar to the gel vehicle parts there could be plant alternatives if you have the patience to grow them. They would automatically repair themselves if left out in the sun and on diggable ground and the engines are fueled by fertilizer. Parts are weak to acid and fire. Plant seats automatically count as having seatbelts.
- Growing walls, doors, windows, etc, out of appropriate seeds should also be a possibility. A plant roof would leave the floor with the âdiggable groundâ flag so that you could still stay inside and use your roots. Anything grown like this would require a lot of water and fertilizer on a comparable level as to using normal materials to build something.
- Grown weapons. Thorny whips, swords, etc. A seed cannon comes to mind. Get all plants vs zombies up in this biz.
- Grown armor. Would be comparable to chitin.
Turbochargers! Increases acceleration speed.
Anyone?
Turbochargers would just increase engine power and the vehicle code would automatically increase acceleration from that.
Iâve said before that I would rather not implement turbochargers as a separate part, but would love to see some engines that included turbochargers in their power, weight, volume, and fuel consumption stats. Adding some turbocharged and turbosupercharged engines would be a relatively straightforward set of JSON changes and would be a good first project for a new contributor.

But maybe if you have a lot of Electronics and Computers first aid Skill you should be able to save other prototype cyborg are insane cyborg by removing some kind of computer virus cbm at installing Auto doctor

More variations for the same kind of item, ex. Toast-ems have the same name, but in the eat menu youâll notice one gives you +10 morale, while another gives you +25 morale, and reading the description of these items shows that one is like the normal box of toast ems, while the other is the survivorâs favorite flavor of toast ems.
This could easily be used for almost anything in game, like a gun for example that you find from drug dealers could be rusted and faulty, but you wouldnât even know, if it werenât for âlookingâ at it (aka reading the description). Similar to pawn shop/museum weapons having budget alloy.
In a sense, just more flavor text and new items really.
In a completely unrelated note: maybe more ârougelikeâ enemies, with randomized desc. And behaviors (basically just rip off FARAâs system for animal creation) to create more variation between charactersâ worlds.
The ability to jump and climb would be nice. Itâs kind of silly to have traceurs whose only real parkour skill is the ability to vault a fence. Being able to leap from rooftop to rooftop after scaling a house would add a good bit of fun to certain starts, to say nothing of the utility.

Really? When did this get added? Iâve been away from the game for a good minute, so Iâm not fully tracking on most things that have been added. Read a few posts mentioning riding horses, too; would love to see more about that since Iâve been wanting it ever since I saw my first farm.
Jumping from rooftops got added two months ago.
Riding a horse is easy: have a saddle in inventory and Survival 1; eâxâamine the horse and saddle it, eâxâamine it again and mount it, then just move normally.

Prototype cyborgs can already be rescued by removing their faulty CBMs. First you have to make sure deactivate them, not kill them. A scrambler grenade or control laptop is best.
its been awhile i didnât join some thread discussion and this thread keeps appearing on the 1st list everytime. so here i am.
thereâs so many things i want to see in CDDA but mostly in my mind i want to see more real-life weapons, more enemies type, more z-place or even bizarre place where special type of zombies and monster can be found, more random encounter, and lastly more things to craft.
and right now, i want to contribute like more guns to the game through mod that has been available on the game like Realguns mod but i donât know how.
