We make bad suggestions and come up with horrible ideas

Syringes now carry random blood-borne infections.

I was wondering how long until that happened.

The ‘Latest Experimental Features’ and this one popped up next to each other, so I thought this was real. Also, wrong topic.

Absorption via mutation.
You go to bed with your dog pal next to you. You mutate, BLERP! You now have a dog living… well, in you.
You get some extra organs and maybe a paw or two but your torso occasionally barks and whines.

Wonderful mental image, isn’t it?

What, are you saying it’s a good idea? It’d be kind of funny at first, but I imagine it’d get old fast. Well, assuming royal jelly can’t fix hepatitis.

Now I can play the Binding of Isaac in the wasteland of New England too!

Brainsucklers, PE2.
Their MO is to latch onto the target and force all their blood into their head, detonating their own cranium and hopefully injuring the target long enough for their airborne relatives, the mindsucklers, to implant eggs.

I’m curious just how the folks from Neo Ark got people to volunteer to be mutated into these folks. Wanting to be an infant forevermore isn’t that worthwhile!
CRAP I made that error, thanks for pointing that out.

That really isn’t a bad idea though, and re-using syringes irl gets gnarly after a while even when you DO sanitize them. Ughhhh. Definitely need a means of sanitizing if using dirty syringes is going to become hazardous.

Er, as for bad ideas, I do not know. Mutated palm trees as harvestable trees, but mostly they just drop/throw painful coconuts at you.

Dildos: Same effect as vibrators, but more tiresome, and doesn’t require charges.

If that does become a thing, then Pack of unused syringes (8) should be findable at doctor’s offices, simply because they exist, no?

Also, let’s take your coconut idea to the next level…

Eating a banana spawns a banana peel trap beneath the player. Creatures, Zs and players simply slip and fall while vehicles spin multiple times. Mario Kart style.

Highly unrealistic. You can walk over a banana peel as much as you want without slipping.

I still want my goddamn dildos to be added!

A banana peel trap would be hilarious.
Imagine if any tile with a peel on it caused a 5% chance for anything moving over that tile to slip and fall, then discovering that by accident as a zombie coming at you triggers it.

[Meows internally]

Eh, that reminds me of IVAN.

You eat a banana.
You slip on your own banana peel.
You fall down the stairs.
You break your neck in 69 places.

Highly unrealistic. You can walk over a banana peel as much as you want without slipping.
I don’t know, this is quite close to a suggestion I almost made which could be pompously titled “The sudden and unexpected vertical instability in a person in relation to the metabolism of common moose.”

In a more serious note a damage from slipping and falling is a concern in a survival situation. Not sure it would be something that’s fun in a game though.

Did they tell you where you can shove them?

Some military outposts should have a chance of spawning “Tourette’s” instead of turrets, that just hurl strings of abuse at you and give you a big morale hit.

Fractional encumbrance - socks add 0.2 points, trenchcoat 1.4 etc.
Fractional skills - that 1.4 encumbrance actually reduces your dodge skill by 1.4, not by 1
Fractional hits - that hit was an almost miss, damage is scaled by how much you hit and how much you missed
Fractional mutations - those claws haven’t fully grown yet
Fractional charges - that 0.3 thread in the needle has only 30% chance of working
Fractional turns - wait (half-wait), that one isn’t actually a bad idea
Fractional volume - No more discrete knapsack problem

Ultimate realism

Year Of The Bad Dragon event: all vibrators transform into brutal weapons with high bashing and slashing/stabbing values. Counts as a powerful Heavy Projectile item for launching purpouses.
