It should be possibly to imprison N.P.C.s and inject them with mutagen until they are able to regenerate limbs, and then keep them there forever, but eventually set them free because after years with nothing but Bob you just can’t stand the thought of ever eating Bob-flavoured meals again.
So… herding mutated humans and using them as inexhaustible source of meat? It’s both sick and genius - and seeing as many people play psychopaths, it isn’t COMPLETELY bad suggestion… just morally bad.
Ah, test subjects! I approve of this. I would add that the player is forced to have dialogue with his/her captives before administering mutagens:
Player: So, my pet. It’s time for another experiment.
Subject: Go to hell / You can’t do this / You’ll burn in hell for this / yada yada blah blah
…and then you get the list of available mutagens to inject.
Also, the test subjects should manage to escape from their cages on a rare occasion. Consider that sometimes the test subjects are heavily mutated, and they’d roam free in the world, and it should be possible to track them down again, perhaps in another city, or a refugee camp.
Also, why can’t we have the Human category of mutagens? It’d be for cats and dogs and all the other creatures. It’s not a proper apocalypse if the cats don’t have opposable thumbs.

Also there should be sinkholes that will swallow your car /large sections of your car/ everything but the roof if you fall into them, or they develop under you as you are driving/ are triggered by your driving over them. Good chance not to make it out of the vehichle in time. RIP random driving survivor. Depending on the level of sinkhole, whould also trigger on walking over it. ONLY way out if trapped in a bad one, is to have NPC throw you a rope or snake, or to have one with you. Or a whip. A whip will do.
That, the road degradation, is the evilest thing I’ve ever read in this thread. I can already see myself paving the roads all year long. And crying.
Next up: Have off-road driving cause way more damage to the vehicle (Also, eat my puns). I’m sure that if we all work together towards a common goal we can achieve great things, such as making all driving excruciating in Cata. Let us not listen to the nay-sayers, and not contemplate why doing something is a bad idea, which would just be a defeatist attitude, but instead try to come up with constructive solutions to achieve the greatest of evils. Mu. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ahhh.
In addition to this we need the worms to come back hard. The graboids have receeded into the background too much and need to make a re-entrance in style.
They should be more plentiful then they have been in recent additions, gain the ability to slowly tear away at buildings, roads and other obstacles that can halt their ability to immediately eat you.
They should also gain the ability to continue their life-cycle into the fast running shriekers, and the flying egg laying, ass-blasters.
The Ass-blasters should naturally start fires on takeoff and be able to appropriately fly and hunt-down pray.
They should also get the opportunity to zombie-up like all the other nasty creatures of DDA.
GrabZoids should gain the ability to eat and spit out chunks of terrain/houses that are in their way of the victim in larger chunks, faster, as well as gain the ability to eat multiple tiles of vehicles in one bite before spitting it back out for high damage against anything and everything it hits, While also leaving layer of blob when it break/stays to close to the surface.
Zhriekers should be stronger than shriekers, but just as terrifyingly fast.
Ass-Blazeters should gain the ability to fire their now sterile egg mid flight, which breaks on impact in a small explosion scattering specialized blobs that cling to prey like the slime balls the turrets in the Incredibles movie. Each ass-Blazeter only gets the one egg however, and is not afraid to make up for this by intentionally starting raging fires to corner prey, unlike their non-zombified counterpart that only does so on takeoff, and not intentionally.
Evil enough yet? We can’t have the off-road be a safe haven from the sinkholes, without throwing horrors ti make you stay on the road. That just wouldn’t be right… until you run out of road of coarse. Or are no longer able to outrun the shriekers, and ass-blasters and their zombie counterparts.
