Built from scratch in a public works, chopping up 5 or so other vehicles. Mobile base. The two beds near the seats are just there for flavor. Second RV unit just because I can. The inner doors are there so that if they’re closed I can steer the vehicle from the rear seat to take out turrests without them shooting me (emergency measure). Overall not really designed to ram anything other than wildlife.[/quote]
Turtle. I like it.
Does it comply with FCC? Can you drive it from map view?
Driving from the map view would be interesting. Not sure which FCC you’re referencing though.
(Here in the US, I doubt the Federal Communications Commission would have much to say about large vehicles, at least without some effect on radio transmissions or somesuch.)
It handles the FCC query on the naming basis.
It’s omitting transmision showed us it’s a vehicle. From here, I see it’s a restaurant, or at least a fast-food joint on wheels!
Next achievement - a Portable Cave.
I actually made a vehicle two map tiles long.
Turns out when I drove it split in half due to the other half not being loaded.
Tried again, moved the seat to the centre.
The fixed the issue but now I can’t see outside, so map-view driving is a must.
You modded your game to make a vehicle two map tiles long, eh?
Nope, frames are easy to hack in with the debug menu.
I somehow died because I forgot a seatbelt and we hit a car.
I wish vehicles could be a bit bigger. I want to make a super huge fort too. Random crazy thoughts that go through my head.
Once they implement:
Z levels.
Aerial Vehicles.
Some sort of hover mode/auto pilot for vehicles.
Create a aerial fort that just hovers there, no thrust. Run off solar panels and maybe a nuclear reactor. That you access it via a small chopper or some such.
I want an Aussie-style road train.
I want a hover fortress.
I want aircraft in game already, so I can build a Solaris solar powered plane. That or attach 50+ pedals to get enough force.
If there are flying vehicles, then there will be flying bees.
Bees.
So let’s do that.
Have a bee with a basket underneath.
Amazing, free transport.

you can “tame” dogs, so taming flying things such as bees to transport you around would be cool.
Here’s my pet beast, the Killdozer. In addition to the zombies it’s killed, it’s also taken out three of my characters. One was killed when a rebounding car struck it as he was trying to dismount, another was killed because he was stuck in the back of the 'dozer by fungaloids he’d puked up, and a third was eaten by a bear while attaching the left rear wheel.
So worth it.
I think my favorite feature is the side trunks, perfect for loot & scoot. Although I’ve slept in it (though not since the fungaloid incident), I’d rather have an enclosed, opaque sleeping area. I’ve an idea how to retain the rear visibility while still having a safe room to bunk.
I’ve noticed that trunks can be placed over boards. I wonder if they can still be used as storage. (kinda like a bus?) Anyone try this yet?
They can, but you can’t get stuff from there though.
The vehicle I’m building right now has trunks under boards, and you can indeed access the stuff inside (tried and tested). I’ll post mine when it’s done but it’s nothing fancy.
Edit: Not quite finished, just needs some more plating to beef it up a bit. It’s a very compact RV though, I don’t plan on taking it into battle (but you have to be prepare for suicidal bears leaping in front of the vehicle). Crafting that kitchen unit was a mission and a half, now I just need to fill up the water tank and I’ll be sorted.
Horrendous fuel efficiency, but no one else is using the pumps so why not.
i feel so saddend by how awesome your cars are. this is the most that i did with my car. i added a new engine and added a muffler and just repair most of it from an prespawnd flatbed truck :(. and here it is
I built a amazing death-mobile base thing, but I forgot about it and deleted the world by accident.
