Vehicle Additions Pack (Updated December 8)

This mod is really good! Whenever I return to CDDA, I always come back to check for the latest version of this mod.

Hi, first I want to say that I love this mod, automation has always been one of my favorite things in games. Shredding Z’s without having to touch anything is great.

Second, I want to ask what the ammo racks are for? I’m assuming they’re to increase the ammo capacity of turrets or automate reloading, but I can’t figure out how to get them to work.

A simple naive question, is this mod updated when you update the base game through CDDA Launcher?

Should be. Unless something has changed. I think there was a problem for a little while with the automatic mod updates for a little while, but I think that had something to do with the git side or something… and believe it to be resolved.

yes, you put ammo in ammo racks and if there’s a turret in your car that consumes that ammo will consume from the rack.
as to how you refill them, i’m not sure since i mostly use stealth car builds instead of rolling monstrosities of death, try either 'D’ropping ammo in them or using the car screen to re’f’ill them

yes, you put ammo in ammo racks and if there’s a turret in your car that consumes that ammo will consume from the rack.

Ok, thanks. That seems to be where I’m stuck; the game seems to think ammo racks on my car are liquid tanks. I can’t drop items in them or fill them with anything besides liquids.

“Growing blob?” needs a tool w/ chemical making of 5 or more, that’s not an error right? I don’t want to spoil stuff for anybody, but I figure I got a couple spots already on my map where I can get this done, it’s just a long ways from my current position.

Is it me or are ammo racks no longer in the mod/game? not seeing them anywhere. (crafting or wishing menus)

just saw this elsewhere as well, may be an error in the code or something. mod elements don’t typically get removed intentionally unless the maker thinks them no longer necessary/ obsolete/ redundant, and usually not even then.

You can install them on your vehicle if you have a 2L tank. Problem is they seem to be broken, simply acting as 2L liquid tanks and not accepting ammo at all.

Blaze are you still maintaining the coregame mod?

I’m afraid I can’t. I’ve been using the game’s built-in debugger to catch my mistakes. And it’s currently out of commission, so I’ll need to wait until that’s fixed before I make any further updates.

Love the way the amorphous heart becomes a water cannon turret. Geez that thing is strong.

Only request: can we make it so that when it fires, it doesn’t create a massive field of 1x water items? Those don’t go away and cleaning up after is always such a pain in the butt. It’s the one and only gripe I have with the mod.

So i’m using the most current update and i can’t get the vortex engine to work.

Me neither, I’ve tried everything including throwing the core at the newly built vehicle and I cant get either the engine or generator to work.

Using this update allowed me to get the generator working by refilling it with water.

Hey Blaze! I fixed your mod.
now vortex engine and vortex generator works well in the latest game version.
Vortex engine now consume literally nothing.Though in game it looks like it needs electricity ,but actually it is not.One vortex engine is now capable of driving a medium tank.
Vortex generator now consumes normal battery cell.It’s power out put is identical to mini plutonium reactor.One cell of battery(100 points) is capable of drive a vortex generator 15 times of a full plutonium reactor’s lifetime.
I also fixed a small bug of diamond barrier,and removed the cvd machine tool request when crafting diamond matrix.
But aware almost all if your added weapons’ data in your mod is out dated. For example A7 laser rifle can burst fires now.This makes added burst laser meaningless.So i changed it.But it still looks odd ,because it lack properties compared to original weapons like to hit bonus.
I also added a diamond vehicle call diamond dream.I don’t know how to add it in game though,you have to use debug to see it.
ops I can’t add attachments in the forum,can’t add Attachments either. did’t expect that.

Thought I should let you know that with the 6276 Experimental Build, gasoline engines no longer work. They decide that they are “out of none” and will not start.

Trying to play using the CDDA game launcher and the game stalls forever on the ‘Finalizing and verifying’ of starting a new game. After a tedious process of elimination, I’ve found that it’s this mod that is causing this as without it the game works fine. Can’t imagine playing the game without this mod, can I get some help?
