So, swamp critters

Just how badly was the truck parked? Like, across all lanes?

Just what kind of bike did you create that can’t overtake a parked semi?

And yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s the muffler (rather, lack of) that’s the problem. A semi makes a shitton of noise even with one-- without? ouch.
Have fun dodging giant mozzies, bro. :stuck_out_tongue:

My bike’s three squares wide, and the truck was parked right across the entrance to the bridge, sideways-on, with two squares of gap on each side.

I did go back on my new solar bike to take a look (mainly to finish clearing the bunker just to the north), and there were still a lot of critters spawned. It would’ve been a fun challenge for my archery skills, but I decided to explore elsewhere.

I ran across one of those semis as well, but it wasn’t centered, but rather left a gap of four spaces on one side, for my five wide modified flatbed. Had to grind down the railing, and pray I didn’t fumble.

Scary, but it worked without getting out of the car.

I might have tried something like that, but at the time someone had just posted how their character had died trying it.

If this helps anybody in their Cataclysm experience, I would like to say something a dev recently mentioned. Swamps still use to old spawn system, so when you drove that semi, it cause a very loud noise, and in turn you stirred up ye olden Dynamic Spawn. If (and I’m sure that you’ve dealt with it, but I just wanna say) you go and get the bike quietly, it runs on foot pedals (unless you took them off) and electricity, so a relatively quiet system,
