Removing Floors

So I’ve been looking for info on how to remove floors. According to another post, there is almost no way to remove a concrete floor without destroying the entire building along with it. I, however, am looking for a way to remove a normal wooden floor in an evac shelter but it also seems to be impossible without destroying my entire house. Any advice?

Building a half-wall on the tile and bashing it down has worked in the past.

Thanks! I actually just figured this out while trying to build support pillars and deciding to scrap the idea. Apparently now I will need an eternal support pillar though. Also I made the mistake of making it a full wall rather than a half wall.
