I’d like to be able to shoot from my peek (‘X’) position so you can peek around corners to shoot turrets and have a better chance of cover. Or peek through curtains and shoot things outside.
Maybe a means to do multiple actions when it comes to construction. Like, being able to build a line of stone walls in one go, that sort of thing. No change in build time, but basically something to eliminate going to the construction menu to complete step 2 which can be really tedious when build a big wall.
I see no use in planning out walls ingame as every work step takes a tremendous amount of ingame time anyway and you can not build much every day.
If it was to set up a work order for companions it would be another story . But that ain t possible.
It would be good if we could set up work orders and pause working while construction was partially complete, leaving a “Partially complete (37%) wall” that could be resumed easily the next day.
I think after I’m done with what I’m doing right now I’m going to look into partial crafting possibilities.
Hey, I got an Idea.
what about prefab walls? something you could build in the safety of a garage, or someplace safe. once built, it can be (G)rabbed and dragged out to where it can be deployed, and raised in minutes.
kinda like old pioneer days barn-raising. build the walls on their sides, and then raise them upright.
you can build a frame and a metal wall and then drag it to the desired position.
Apply a variable to the character that counts how many you killed since you last got hit, and make you feel like a bad ass for a few hours (raised morale) for chewing through tons of zombies.
It seems like something that would lower your perception(overconfident)…
why not both? Sky high moral, and (slightly?) lowered perception. maybe tendency to randomly stoke heroic poses too Some npc’s find this amazing and are more friendly to you when you are around them like this, while others find your overconfidence and showing off annoying.
that person showing off that he can step on landmines without setting them off…
Perhaps a way to detonate some rdx on an aluminum keg while it’s on a wheelbarrow. In face, maybe a wheelbarrow you can strap on several explosives. Set it in a reasonable spot in a fungal bloom or so, run for it (possibly with the aid of meth) and be somewhere safe while the blast scythes off the forest and the fungal things.
Is it possible to make the thermal dissipation bionic protect against monster-based fire attacks? I don’t know if thermal dissipation is intended to be useless against a tank drone’s flamethrower, but I’m assuming it should provide some protection.
my understanding is that thermal dissipation protects against heat. Not flames. So it probably is helping you out… ALOT, but being a flaming marshmallow man is still… you know… on fire. Fire tends to hurt even if all the heat is being dissipated.
Whoa, and thanks for the clarification. Also, flaming marshmallow man sounds devastatingly brutal btw and I think you just gave me the name for my next character
I very much doubt that. Unless the chemicals created by the fire are corosive or something.
erm… true. Um… it still burns the skin but internally the heat is expelled? Can only spell heat SO fast when being actively barbecued.
Yeah i guess. But it still fully protects against the damage of a raging fire afaik. So its kinda inconsistent.
Maybe a sort of buried container. Like, if your player is living outside or something, or doesn’t want to clutter up their base… dig a pit, put a kind of container on it. Something to protect against the elements, or a storage space for remote locations, perhaps a means to protect stuff stored in there against thieving NPCs.
In fact, containers that can be locked like safes would be nice. If a player dies and a new player encounters the safe or storage area, they need to figure out a way to open it. Setting booby traps would be nice. New player trying to lockpick safe and doesn’t have a high enough skill in mechanics? He gets a bomb to his face.
This here- it seems kinda odd that you can walk through a blazing inferno while only receiving internal heating, but still take damage from the “On fire” effect from the considerably weaker tank drone flame attack (It takes a lot longer to die from the tank drone’s flamethrower than from jumping into a raging fire).
Anyways, just a thought :).
5-gallon jugs, water coolers, and food mixes(boxes of seasoning and beans/dried veg/rice/pasta, just add to hot liquid/add hot liquid/add hot meat and enjoy.)
The first two would be easy, the first is just a new container, the second would probably just be a variation of a counter that contains some pipes, plastic chunks and possibly some electrical components when taken apart, and the final thing would probably be closest to MREs in functionality. Perhaps with the ability to read the box to learn how to cook the contents, then take apart the box into a normal cardboard box… (Have the box, take it apart to get ingredients and the box, still with writing on it, take that apart to get a normal box). Infact, the ability to read a box(or bag) to learn a recipe would in itself be an awesome feature, what with almost every food item in New England that comes in some packaging coming with a recipe…
