Personally I would love to see more content involving the refugee center and more tailor-made encounters like it in the future. For example:
There could be several variants of the refugee center, such as finding it over-run by zombies with all the survivors downstairs. Or perhaps being armed to the teeth and requiring you to remove all weapons from your person before entering.
Secret agent animals- They look like normal animals but their stats are multiplied tenfold and have significantly more damage and health… also when aggro’d they put on a fedora
This would make the chem labs useful also in that you can make various paint ball types. Acid. Explosive. One to slow down large groups of zeds if targeted at the ground. as it would then splatter.
I’d like to see chemistry used for more varied things beyond a few recipes and mutagens.
O.o wow. Why is this not there already? Its so obvious. Useless, but obvious. Needs paintball store too, and way to make them actually deadly with some modifications.
Shotgun arrows… basically, its a regular arrow except for the head. when the arrow hits the target, all the force of the arrow is channeled into a makeshift firing pin that activates the shotshell and provides enough forward force to prevent the recoil from making the buckshot go wild. since there’s no barrel at all, the shot will disperse much quicker, but that doesn’t matter since the shotshell is already in physical contact with the target.
people in some countries use this method to hunt mid to large size game with regular bird shot. no force is lost due to distance or dispersion and it has the same effect as buckshot fired from medium range or a slug from long range.
Yes, but those require gun powder and some decently high skills. shothead only really needs some scrap metal(even a tin can works), some basic tools like hammer and hacksaw, and an otherwise functional arrow… and a shotshell of course. it’s easier to make, but also only affects 1 enemy at a time, rather than being explosive
the shothead arrow could also be used at a much closer range without risk of injury, unlike an explosive arrow
In RL, you don’t even need the scrap metal. a film canister or PVC works just fine at the job of holding the shotshell
in RL: you make a little box with a shotshell pointing upwards and a little nub of metal(usually a nail) centered under the shotshell to act as the firing pin. put a thin but sturdy cover over the top of the box and make sure that the shotshell is snug between the metal nub and the cover and bury it carefully. person steps on it and the weight presses the shotshell onto the metal nub and gets a hole blown through their foot( or has foot blown off… depend on what ammo is used).
In the game: a shotshell, scrap metal, hammer, hacksaw, 2x4, 1 nail… think that’s all.
a fishing pole between the pro rod and the stick with a nail hook. it would use a gear system made of clockwork bits to reel in fish and would require 10 long string and a 2x4, scrap metal(to make eylets, etc), maybe some other parts.
are pressure plates a thing? would be nice to be able to fortify all but one entrance to your base, and set up like 5 shotgun traps all aimed at your unfortified door. if something bashes the door down and steps on the plate, all your traps aimed at that spot go off at the same time.
