Needful things (simple additions to improve the game)

A passable system might be to have bipods ineffectual (They might even throw off your aim a bit. Those things take a bit of getting used to) almost all the time, until you wait on a tile for your recoil to completely disappear. Then it could give an effect called “Steadied” or something similar, which increases your accuracy and decreases recoil buildup until you move.
It’d sort of represent the time taken for your character to hit the dirt, and set up into a firing position.

This reminds me of the collapsible guns from ufo aftermath or whatever it was…

Acetylene torches should be explosive like petrol tanks.
As any one thats worked with gas bottles will tell you they not only contain gas under presser but if exposed to significant heat can explode.

When eating bannanas they should give you bannana peels that when on the ground they can trip something and when they do they fly in a random direction/ or activate as a one time trap

They should make enemies spin and loose cash cards then.

[facepalm]

Since it’s about fruits…

 • Fruits should give seeds when eaten, in cases where that’s acceptable, as apples, mangos, tomatoes and so on;

 • Coconut! Rare(it’s imported), good ranged projectile, chance of breaking when it hits something, need to be properly opened to eat/drink, husk could be used to create small water reservatory(250 ml) or a small coconut husk pot;

 • Watermelon! Similar to coconut, but it’s much more useful as food, since it can be sliced in multiple parts and throwing it doesn’t give much damage. Watermelon husk can be crafted as a helmet or watermelon husk pot. Also found in the even more rare cubic version, that can be crafted into a water reservatory(500 ml).

The coconuts themselves are the seeds

Coconut and watermelon are already implemented.

Mod categories.

Turrets that you’d set up and manually aim and fire. Something like MG emplacements. I don’t trust the automated turrets, they may be plotting to kill me.

[sup]I hear them bleep blooping behind me now, even though there are no hostiles…[/sup]

Anyways, it’d be awesome if you can plop down an MG emplacement, get on it and the turn your targets to mush till you run out of ammo or your it gets jammed. Maybe have a shielded emplacement and a non-shielded one?
Hiw about just adding bipods? You 'a’ctivate it, followed by an directional prompt and then you set up your bipod (much like a funnel) and then when standing on it you have almost no recoil. Only works with rifles/lmgs. I know that real bipods work differently but maybe an easy way to implement it.

Regards, someone with no coding ability.
And no attention to the game. ;-/

Bipods are already in and give minor bonuses. They don’t require deployment as that would be the same problem as the rifle sling: set up the bipod and then attach the rifle to it.
That’s my concern. A bipod should greatly help - at the cost of mobility ofc. A pity that coding this is so complicated.

Are there nuts in the game? Like the ones that grow on trees and bushes?

Watermelons are in the game. I found one on an NPC who had no backpack.

Graphine arrows/diamond tipped arrows

YES

Steel crossbow bolts and crossbows spawn in gun basements.

Ferromagnetic crossbows

Ability to examine turrets and tip them over :stuck_out_tongue:

A crossbow uses tension of a bent material as a power source to fuel its shots.
A ferromagnetic rifle doesnt.
The projectile speed a crossbow can reach are worlds below a ferromagnetic gun… so it wouldn t even quallify to aid the ferromagnettic part in accelerating the projectile.
Therefor a ferromagnetic Crossbow isn t.

Or explain ho it would work?

I suppose he mean a coilgun that can fire crossbow bolts.

Well that would be kinda neat for people with higher electronics skill then mechanics also using rifle skill instead of bow.

Make it craftable at electronics 8 and have it in the same tier as the bolt driver.
