Good idea.

Esc would also need to back out of it’s own menu for ease of use.

A big acid bomb. Or anything that’ll quickly clean up a street filled with piles of corpses.

It’d be nice if more mutation and bionic effects were jsonized.

Like for the former I’d love the ability to mess with body part warmth, encumbrance, and whether it precludes wearing a given clothing item.

For latter it’d be nice if bioweapons could be cited in the json instead of the source, allowing for the ability to mod/create bionic weapons. Power fist FTW. owo

Some cat 5 or 6 storms might be !fun!.
Zombies don’t really mind, since most of em ought to be up quite fast after beign blown away by a twister.
(It also could explain where that horde came in the middle of a vast forest miles away from nearest town.)

Zombienado?

a simple screen shake when you get thrown by a zombie brute would be nice

Or a crowd cheering effect when you get punted through a football goal by a hulk?

Probably been suggested already, but meditation. A way to increase morale that doesn’t require batteries or a book. Obviously you could make it less effective than the worst book.

To make things more complicated, it could be a fully fledged skill that gets better with practice, eventually giving you minor buffs, reducing pain, or increasing your health metric.

What about latrines? I’m not sure if this is even a desirable feature of the game, having to take a piss or a dump from time to time would just add tedium to the game. Maybe it’s just a passive effect. If your character doesn’t have somewhere reasonable to take a dump, he suffers morale penalties? Could be neat to be able to distill urea from your pee for use in chemical recipes like for fertilizer or ammonia (a renewable source!).

Nah.

Now if we accumulated every minor irksome bit of realism that’s considered not worth adding and make it a mod.

Load your magazines and make sure you have the right ones! Use the bathroom! Take a bath! Left-handedness! All in one ultra-realistic package! o3o

Are multisquare sized monsters possible?

Are you saying having to load your weapon magazines is lame? I thought I read somewhere that it was going to be a planned feature, which I support. It wouldn’t even really be that cumbersome. Just have your ammo and mags in close proximity of each other, spend some time loading them all up and you’re good to go. It would only become a ‘problem’ when you’re using the gun, only having one to two mags on you when you get swarmed and having to make each shot mean something. Something about finding some half empty magazines on those dead soldiers and drug dealers brings a smile to my face.

I would like to see it as soon as possible but, realistically it should wait for when the playing field between melee and ranged is levelled a little bit.
Or maybe I have no idea H-wat I’m talking about.

I’d like it if my flash light didn’t self implode when I try to add some string onto to it and mess up.

Maybe adding a fungal mutation-tree that in the end produces a green, fanged hulk that can use crude weapons and reproduces by planting shrooms?
Also adding an option to make some melee weapons either light (fast but fragile) or heavy (slow pounder)?

It’s mostly just that adding it in would give quite a bit more complexity to the game. I do like the idea, just wasn’t sure whether it’d be accepted by most other players. owo

Spike strips. Activate and pick a direction to set a line of spikes on the ground to act like barbed wire/caltrops for zombie feet. Can sometimes be found on the road to ruin the day of many wheels.

Manhole shield. Makeshift shield made from a manhole and some rope. Very encumbering on the arms and hands, but provides a decent amount of bash protection. Can block attacks, maybe depending on the hp of the arms.

Ball and chain. Round lump of steep with a chain or rope attached. Comes in a variety of sized. Smaller ones are faster on the hits, while the big ones are slow and heavy and hard-hitting. Like a bullwhip, it has a ranged attack, but the bigger ones are pretty slow on recovery.

Battering ram. Log with a rope tied on each end.

Brick on a sock. Like a rock on a sock, but with a brick.

Spiked gloves. Thick leather gloves with shards of glass and some nails superglued on the surface. Looks cool, and a fine example of being really dumb and ignoring the risks of gluing spikes on gloves.

Already in, you can wield the manhole after you pry it up from the sewer.

Adding a new feature for the Tailoring kit to expand clothing to accommodate mutated antonym.
