Make dropped items stack

Inventory management in Cata is relatively easy on your person but quickly becomes a disorganized headache on the ground.

It would be a nice touch to make like items stack with eachother as they do in the player inventory. As a small example my vehicles welding rig inventory looks something like:

scrap metal
scrap metal
sheet metal
scrap metal
wire
scrap metal
steel plating
scrap metal
sheet metal
wire
lump of steel
wire
wire
cobber tubing
scrap metal
sheet metal
scrap metal
scrap metal
etc

It goes on like that for several pages on the inventory screen, even though I have perhaps 10 unique item types in that pile. This makes any resource a nightmare to organize, especially crafting materials and ingredients for cooking.

While I fully agree with this idea, you can use the advanced inventory management (/ or \ I forget) to get the same effect.

That was quite helpful and makes my life simple, thank you.

I would still also like items to stack for convenience sake, even if this would only apply to items that are likely to be found in quantity. Ie: Scrap metal would stack, firearms would not.
