Long turn times

I haven’t played in some time, and updated to the latest experimental. Now, both on a new save and an old save, each turn is taking considerably longer. In the past taking a step to the left and right wouldn’t taken any noticeable amount of time but if I was in close range of an active turret it would take a long time when it started firing. Now it’s like that all the time. Any reason why?
