Lets spin and dance all day long, NOT! Why?

Is there any particular reason a spinning strike requires at least 4 adjacent enemies? As far as I can see, there would be no downside to spinning to hit 2 or 3 enemies. Is spinning strike slower or weaker than a normal critical hit?

The lajatang is already a slow weapon and weak compared to (diamond) katanas and such. Why do you further limit my ability to pwn everything around me with every melee attack?

I dont think anyone knows. Wait for some dev.
