How did you last die?

[Moosening Intensifies]

No. Just no.

Get shotgunā€™d by an NPC. Worst part? It was allied.

Thereā€™s no moose mutagen in the game, and Iā€™m starting to wonder if that is so due to the fact that theyā€™d probably kill the scientist foolish enough to try to get samples off them.

Wellā€¦ Figured I would start up a difficult characterā€¦ Canā€™t even remember what it was, other than failed cyborg and it had animal discordā€¦ And I spawned in the forest 3 spaces from a moose.

Shockedā€¦ I started a really bad day charā€¦ Ohh! Steak knife right next to me, pick it up and try to run out the windowā€¦ A zombie just broke in, and I get stuck momentairly trying to get around him, and the building colapses on me.

Again, wtfā€¦ So I cheat a bit and start up a pretty buffed up normal character just to mess aroundā€¦ and the starter NPC went on a killing spree of blobs with a flamethrower, except he caught the shelter on fire, along with meā€¦

RNG troubles today.

Milspec Turret gun. I will never see my Swag Quad ever again.

In memory of: Colin Wells
"I hate turrets so much"

In Soviet Russia, turrets hate you?

Pretty much, but I canā€™t complain. I learned a lot from that run though.

Then again, turrets hate you everywhere, Russia or not.

Vehicle turrets are another matter entirely.

Running from a small pack of zombies i tryed to fight them off slowly after a bit i see im clearly losing the fight i try to run away but they grab me, since i was about to die i decide to start my c4s timer, it blows up by some miracle i survie the blast, i try to get to my base along the way i get a krecks attention it follows me hitting me everytime i take a step but barely causing any damage halfway there after dozens of hits he kills me

Lab Start claimed a whole bunch of unwilling mutants. Couple of unlucky surface turret spawns, bio-operators, lab scientists and I spawned next to a shoggoth once. A lucky teleporter spawn finally let one of them escape out the entrance and land right in the middle of a wandering horde.

As a frail old woman, Jean Sanders, AKA Badass 'Nan. I was mercilessly double teamed by a brute and a smoker, my power armor having run out of, well, power.

Oh, and I lost my glasses.

Final words, ā€œDangnabit!ā€.

Or the time I had the schizophrenic trait, saw a brute in my bedroom door. Only escape was the window, jumped down 2 stories, broke both legsā€¦

Only to realise I hadnā€™t taken my Thorazine. I then pulled myself back into my house and blacked out before dying of blood loss.

Schizophrenia is !!FUN!!ā„¢.

Moose in the forest just out of my FOV until it was too late. Moose seem to hate Cat mutants.

Awesome startā€¦ A garage with plenty of handy, useful tools on the counters. Outside, in the driveway of house to the north, a fully functional RV. Out in the street, a fully functional Electric Car. Drove the RV back to my garage for later tweakage. No hacksaw around to start taking apart useless cars for parts though. Go off to find one. Instead, find a shocker brute who paralyzes me just long enough for a hulk to come running around the corner and punch me through a my garage wall. I died right next to my fabulous RV.

Died by a dude with his Berreta M9 and he died from my vengeful curse (of not moving to the title screen). Kinda love how NPCs lack sentience by wanting to brutalize your vegetable corpse even at the expense of self-destruction.

Whats a Jabberwocky, and why does it ā€“ how? ā€“ Oh? ā€“ OH GOD! ā€“ HELP ME!!!

sheltered start.

So my character starts between a swampy river to the North, and a Fungal tower to South. Road going from SW to low middle to SE and N just East of me. Because I am starting in winter this means I don;t have to worry about the swamp and I basically have an inexhaustible food supply just to my south.

Finally I get my throwing up to a level I think I can take on the fungal tower (never fought one before). I fight my way through all the fungals to the core just using throwing sticks anytime anything gets to close. I have to back back out a few times but feel like iā€™ve mostly got this. Some other creatures come in, zom dogs and such and keep some fungals busy. I finally get through the wall and start hitting the tower a few times only to have wall grow back >.< ok.

Continue hitting wall/core and protecting myself from anything that gets TOO close and retrieveing throwing sticks, rocks, and anything else I have picked up in a desperate attempt to get a few more things thrown before retrieving. had to recover items from the tower itself while the wall was down a couple time, and even get my gun out when I get desperate.

Tower gets to almost dead I get hurt by some fungal creatures trying to double team me. So I decide to eat some of those malburies I found, because I vaguely think I remember people saying they are really good. I am thinking more mutations ^>^ maybe Iā€™ll even exchange bad mutations for all good ones. Eat one, and find I lost many good AND bad mutations, but Iā€™m dedicated to know EXACTLY what it does now, two more berries later I have 0 mutations. check my @ statsā€¦ and find that my entire body can feel spores seeping into it. Instant Rage quit, because there is no way im going to spend THAT much time waiting for my char to inevitably die.

Died again. I was out of my base hunting for a swamp area for where I can start salt production. But due to a bit of bad luck I got attacked by a pack of wolves, which hurt me a little. Followed by a moose, than a zombie moose, than finally a zombie bear which finished me off.

Itā€™s an entire zoo of survivor-stomping.

Today I learned fungaloids are the single greatest threat drivers could ever know.

Was driving through a forest in my mobile death-home, when I happened across some fungaloids. ā€œoh, no problem; theyā€™re easy enemies, Iā€™ll just drive through 'em, itā€™ll be fine, and worst comes to worst, I have plenty of antifungal drugs.ā€

I hit one going at a leisurely ~60 mph and it disintegrates, spawning spore clouds. Inside my car. In its heart, under the multi-tile external armor plating it has on all sides.

Turns out, fungal clouds have collision detection. So I tear through these clouds, inside firstā€¦and as it turns out, cargo carriers arenā€™t the most durable framework.

The clouds shred through my car like torpedos, sending books, spare supplies, weapons, ammo, gasoline, food, and more splattering across the ground. The car spirals out of control, its insides ripped apart, with only a few viscera and the external shell remaining intact. Suddenly deprived of a car to be seated in, I get spilled onto the ground, and ran over by the back wall of my once-proud carā€™s shambling husk, killing me instantly.

Reason #4582 to HATE FUNGALOIDS
