How did you last die?

Nerfed or not, 8 diesel tanks popping right in front of the turret (and a few more in the back) will ruin anyone’s day.

From now on, diesel tanks go in the back.

First story I am posting so I hope it is nice

I played the game normally for the last three days irl, a few seasons went by in the game. It may have been my longest run yet.
After playing a while I managed to get a pickup truck running, and after hours of playing started decking it out. I got a mini fridge, a kitchen unit, even got military armor. It ran on gas and solar energy, with the new upgraded panels the power became seemingly endless. It had the works I loved the truck. ;-;

One night I pulled over in the woods to sleep, my character was really tired after a day of studying. So without thinking I just went to sleep right away. I was wearing earplugs too, so I didn’t hear anything through the night. When I woke up the next morning there was one fungal zombie shuffling around my truck. I ignored him and tried to pull back onto the road, floored the pedal, and turned the wheels. This action was met with no movement and a HUGE cloud of spores, he had put down some fungal beds under and around my truck, rooting it there. :-; Also because I cranked the speed so far up the truck tore itself apart.

More fungal stuff started showing up so I grabbed as much of my stuff, as I could. It was not much. ;-; Then I ditched my truck, ran to the nearest town to try and get a new car of some kind anything really. As night fell It got dark, but not before a bunch of feral runners found me. They held me down and beat me close to death, before a hulk zombie ran up and punched me across the yard of a church. Because it was pitch black out they lost track of me, so bloodied and broken I crawled into the church and slept on a bench. The next morning the church was surrounded by all different kinds of zombies. I decided to book it, but was stopped short by some of the same feral runners. A smoker ran up to make sure I could not see anything, and my old friend the hulk zombie found me again. Except it was no longer night, there was no escape this time. I died after a horrific beating, of which I sent flying a few times before scumming.

I ran into a “2”. Nothing to mention was left of my head. Can someone ban the “2” please? No matter what kind of “2”, it’s annoying!

2’s are great. You can kite a pile of zombies into them to waste all the ammo then you can kill all the zombies before they blow it up and now you have an infinite light source.

Just don’t punch said lightsource. I’ll need to test this in newer experimentals, but ones from a week or two ago repeatably crashed the game by doing so.

As someone who’s been using tilesets for a while… what’s 2?

2rrets? XP

But yeah, turrets.

Ahh. Makes sense.

They still show up on your compass as 2 symbols, after all.

It’s one of those moments where I don’t realize what it is even when I’m staring at it. Or something.

I have those moments too at times.

I just drove this car I found off a bridge and drowned it in a river. Then I found this cool pyramid thingy and it caked me in radiation. Then I got into a fight with a pack of zombie wolfs and got ripped into pieces. It was another normal day in the apocalypse.

Click ‘a’ on rifle turret in the inventory.
‘Place where?’ click
’The turret makes angry beeping sounds.’
‘Watch the last moments of your life?’

I’ve actually got a PR up which I’m doing the final tweaks on that should make fuel explosions much less likely to happen (and diesel should basically never explode), as well as greatly reducing the overall size of the explosions (they’ll scale to a cap, rather than just increasing without end as you get more and more fuel).

Ooh, neat. Too bad I’d already moved the tanks to the rear of the tanks, now. ;-;

Made another world and another character to test… whatever I had intended to test, I didn’t. Instead I found a mobile meth lab and drove it to the south. I should have done a U-turn when I heard the shots. Nay, drove at 80 kph right between the barricades. I had thought I’d be able to pass freely. Oxhead. How come I had not noticed that police car on my way?

I rammed it. My vehicle stopped; its door windows facing the turrets on the barricades. It took several bursts to get rid of the character. I tried backing off but it was too late.

Watch last moments of your life? Why not. As the turrets ceased firing, the mobile lab slowly started moving backwards, gaining speed as it moved. It was backing off in an absolutely straight manner, not turning even the slightest. I guess my corpse had fixated the wheel, besides possible game limitations. The lab wasted a deer on its way before driving into the forest and getting stopped by trees. A zombified wolf emerged to feast on the corpse.

This was weird and oddly serene in a way.

Shocker Brute + soldier ant.

Go Team Ant?

They both attacked me at once T.T I thought I could get them to fight.
