How did you last die?

Still have to learn how to make it.
Thankfully as far as materials go I do have a mod that allows me to “mine” scrap metal even when I’m in a lab.

Sheer persistance in cooking amoral aspic, plus the right skill book, makes dynamite far more practical to acquire.

At east you immediately know have to make it. Makes me kinda wonder why we cannot dehydrate or aspic tainted meat or another way to purify it. Labs are littered with purifiers in my runs so I should find a way to at least turn it into human flesh or something like that.

Derp? Tainted meat is…what does that have to do with blowing up walls via the power of being a chef? :V

DUH you chef with it to become a culinary genius that can make dynamite off the back of his hand.

I meant amoral aspic as in using human meat, not zombie meat. Technically zombies are mostly human, at last with respect to the sources of tainted meat you’ll find in a lab. But still. :V

Aspic is mostly just a nifty recipe you learn at level 4 cooking, and since the cannibal version is one of the few autolearned cannibal recipes, it’s good in labs littered with human corpses for getting enough cooking to make the lower-end chemistry texts readable.

TO me the hardest part is making sure you don’t starve or dehydrate before you get to that point.

True. So long as you have the Psychopath trait though, human flesh is good cooked, or made into non-perishable stuff. As for water, if you find those elevator/bathroom/kitchen areas, that’s plenty of water and corpses, plus the leaky flooded room as infinite-use shallow water.

And I’m fairly certain a filter mask is not that hard to find to deal with pesky fire smoke.

Somewhat, yeah. Proper use of rooms you can seal off afterward mitigate the smoke hazard too, or you can hope to find a hotplate, or the integrated toolset CBM.

Good luck with hotplates on my part but as far as the toolset goes I mainly think that is a hope you can install it or hack the computers.

For hacking the bionics computers, having level 3 in computers more or less makes sure that it’s a success, from my experience. So either find a book for computers in the lab, or put two points in character creation on the computer skill. Volunteer mutant can also get a slight boost in installing CBMs, as they start with two or three (not sure) in electronics, and two more points can increase it to five, which helps giving a good chance with installing most of the basic bionics. Plus, having electronics at 5 and computers at three, if under the hood and electronic circuit theory is found (more often than not I find those books on lab challenges) gives you the recipes needed for an electric jackhammer.

Tried Day Zero start with npc’s set to 100 and monster spawn 10.
Should have removed Surrounded, never fun to spawn around 10 zombies, all of em brutes.
Oh, and the game was SLOW.

Great way to invent the lagpocalypse. o3o

Indeed.

Doing the milk challenge during a lab challenge. I cheated in the milk, succeeded, and then walked into a turret all fat and 90% dairy. Oh test-run games. Lol.

MILKY DEATH. Either that or that turret just milked you. (does that sound disturbing?)

Dare I even ask?

The milk challenge is just a stupid thing where you drink an entire gallon of milk in a very small amount of time. It pretty much universally ends in puking and your friend laughing at you, and putting your stupid antics on youtube. I made a joke in that thread about survivors doing some pretty absurd/incredible things, and then realized that I could test that.

Don’t ever do the milk challenge irl.

Derp. owo
