How did you last die?

I had three NPCs following me around. I decided to read some books in the middle of the city while they did the hard work. It went pretty well until a brute came over and murdered one of them. We all piled into a car and I started driving us away. Halfway down the road I slow down to take a turn and some zombies get a little close. Both of the NPCs smashed the crap out of me instead of the zombies.

Once again I tried a lab challenge. Using a teleport pad I managed to escape, and better yet there was a nearby refugee center. So I go in and check the place out. Morning arrives and I decide to scout the surrounding environment.

As it turns out, there was a nearby town. A large group of zombies had noticed me, via shocker brute bolt. During the time I was stunned they managed to move in much closer.

Then I notice something off. I quickly check the map and confirm my fears. One, there was a fungal zone close by, and a slime pit right at the outskirts of town. And I was very close to a nuked crater.

So, yeah.

My next one fared just as bad, but died in a more epic manner. Mall cop scenario, static spawn with 6x spawn rate. Put bashing, unarmed, and melee skills to 3 so I can make use of krav maga, and use it I did.

Started the game pretty much swamped already. I try to run in what I thought was a loading bay. Turns out to be a dead end. It was some sort of 2x2 room. I was on the back corner with some walls so I won’t get completely surrounded as I took my stand.

And so I started killing zombies left and right. I ended up fighting two at a time, since the spot in the south won’t be occupied as long as I keep killing/stunning the zombie at the south-west. So I’d jab and quick punch all the zombies who tried to bite me. I’d keep on doing it over and over and over again, since the starting NPC was a cow who tried to kill his zombies with a shotgun.

Zombies kept spilling in, and eventually some of the walls gave out. The north-west wall got destroyed, so now I’d face around 3 to 4 instead of 2 to three. Still doing fine, though. For most part the rubble in front of me slowed the zombies down, though that didn’t help much as there was just so many of them.

And then another wall went down, and this time some rubble fell on me. I guess I managed to free myself just fine, since I was still punching the zombies to death.

But of course, my character would succumb. Glass jaw and flimsy was being used, so my torso and head went down as I got surrounded. Also, an arm got infected. Nonetheless, even when surrounded on all sides I still racked up the kill count. This wasn’t a character who’d kill himself so easily, so I did the last thing I could think of.

I lit a fire on the one pile of corpses that wasn’t buried in rubble. If I was going down, the whole place goes down with me.

In the end, the kill count scored at 273 before death and the valkyries led the way to valhalla.

tl;dr: krav maga OP.

It just keeps happening. owo

Ninjitsu is moreso. Double damage/quick strike with katana? Or even just machete, if you want something more easily available. The silent strike is just gravy.

So I woke up in the middle of nowhere, just an unwilling mutant test subject set free by kind scientists. I woke up next to the scientists, apparently, and looted a bunch of their keycards and, luckily, some Heavy Power Armor.

All was well for three days when I found a motorcycle and a bunch of gear. I was taking out some wanderers and zombies in a town and found three toolboxes, fixed up a car and started driving along at night to get back to my bike and safehouse.

Well, a survivor yells at me to wait up so we can talk. I agree and we go on our way after the wayward hitchhiker hopped in my car. I should have known something was wrong when I went to trade with him and all he had was a bottle of gasoline. Right when I start the car apparently some critter came a little too close and he let loose with his flamethrower, blowing up the car and everything within six tiles of it, me included.

I was doing so well.

Experimenting with RDX-barrel.
Diiiiidin’t end so well, we most definitely need an option to construct a foxhole for these kind of instances.

Hell yes, would love to be able to set up things like that.

Now if only constructions worked like recipes in being able to learn them early from books…ye olde FM 5-15, anyone? o3o

Spawned in, stepped down the road to start looting. Got grenaded by grenadier zombies. Three saves in a row.

I really don’t agree with them advancing zombie progression depending on the season. There should at least be an option. I fucking hate spring starts.

There is an option-monster difficulty at one it sets the next level-ZOMBIE_MID to spawn at the beginning of summer, setting it to 2 would set it to winter, 3 to spring(or 1 year). It will also set the zombie animal spawns back.

Grenade zombie. 4th save in a row. Shocking.

I’m ready to go back to the stable version at this point.

Killed by a zombie hulk and he decided to pick up my dead corpse and throw it until I closed the death cam. Grim He fought other zombies for possession.

Was driving in a sportscar at about 80 km/h. NPC flamethowered tires. Hit tree, flew out of car. Became bloodstain, slid for a hundred meters or so.

Damn. Did you at least get to run him over? o3o

Npc with a simple flamethrower burned me to death. Opened the door to kitchen/living quarters in a firestation. Npc tells me to drop my gun, I tell her to screw herself. I Close the door and run for the lever. She opens the door and burns me to a crisp. I hope the firestation collapsed on her head shortly after.

I think im going to turn npcs off in my next game.

MASS WORLD DELETION.

Haven’t played in two months, starting fresh. I fully expect to get murdered by a stream of new content.

Nope. He lived on to burn himself to death in a forest fire.

Sometimes I feel like I should turn them off, buuuut… it would take out some of the !!FUN!! and that would be unacceptable!

Random NPCs still seem a bit too crazy at the moment. I did meet one rare NPC that fled instead of attacked, but still. Only thing is that NPCs seem stupidly rare with JUST static NPCs enabled. I rarely see any that aren’t the starter NPC.
