I do not know whether this issue was raised … But I would like to ask … Will the GUI version? There are only old, but I want a brand new. I apologize in advance for any errors, I’m Russian.

Here you can find the newest version of the game : https://github.com/TheDarklingWolf/Cataclysm-DDA/, unfortunately you will need to compile it yourself, as the Windows executable version is probably out of date (found here : http://bit.ly/WG6EdJ)

If you choose to compile, here is a guide : http://www.cataclysm.glyphgryph.com/compiling.html

And if you are on windows, you can look into cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com/) for a linux terminal to compile the game with. The game runs better on linux too, I think.

I am not sure what you mean by GUI… if you don’t want to compile, I linked the windows executable. If you want the game to not look like letters and symbols, then you are out of luck!

Last I heard, a tileset wasn’t available. I forget why, might be because of all the changes we’ve been doing.

You’ll get used to it though if you play on windows, there is some work on making it look nicer. I play on Cygwin, and it looks nice and colorful.

I actually fixed the colors in CZS, and am hoping DW rolls them up into his next release.

The windows colors were all kinds of jacked up before.

Personally, I’m not a fan of all the bright backgrounds you put in place, or the removed facing on the maptiles.

I said i fixed that.

I have the old map system back with a few exceptions.

AND i fixed the colors on windows. IE Brown and yellow don’t look like almost the same damn thing. Green and light green are actually different. Same with ltred and red.

You just haven’t seen my update yet. Frankly it looks pretty damn nice IMO, windows actually gets all 16 colors now. Noticeably so.

Making tilesets is something that people like me, gamers who are stupid, do not do. I barely use win.rar. I would suggest waiting for someone to make one.
