so we have good of speed? less than 30 days to do so many challenges…
There’s no rule saying you can’t, so you can. Name and sphere!
I’ll just leave this lunacy here.
Screenshot of tankbot-related shenanigans:
Mr. Fixit, God of Cunning. God of Speed sounds nice, but in general I feel that I wasn’t quite fast enough with the run. I mean, less than 30 days is good and all, and at that point I was still seeing human bodies on the road, not to mention a large amount of normal zombies, but I reckon one can make the challenges and milestones in under 10 days with a little bit of daring. If not me, someone else will probably get that done. A lab start for instance might work out well, as the bedrooms can hold a decent amount of fancy clothing - and they’re pretty much the only place I’ve found monocles, and jedi cloaks.
PS. It’s not Mrs. Fancy, just Mr. Fancy. Despite being a female and all, I just named her Mr. Fancy because it felt amusing to me at the time; making an stylish spiritual albino psycho cannibal.
Also, here’s my suggestions on some new challenges:
-With fencing and a rapier, kill X number of zombies with only the counter attack. Wait or butcher corpses while the horde comes to you.
-For an alternative to the fancy clothing milestone: collect a set of artifact clothing; helmet, boots, gloves, and coat, maybe wield an artifact sword/staff/dagger as well.
-Haven’t really tried it yet, so not sure if this is possible to survive. Drive a vehicle going at least 100mph (maybe higher?), dive out of the vehicle and go through a window, or hell, if it can do damage/possible in the first place, kill a zombie by going through them that way.
-Make a car on the second floor of an office tower/motel. Drive that car out into the open air and survive.
They do indeed, and they are a pretty good start… but in terms of speed, you’d have to get a good lab start. It’s not uncommon be to stuck in a lab until the corpses rot if you don’t get one of the “get out of lab free” options (which admittedly are reasonably common).

The first one isn’t a challenge, it’s normal behaviour if you have fencing. Also, it would be impossible to document in a reasonable fashion.
The second one… yeah, THAT is a challenge. WOWZERS. Probably the hardest one of them all.
The other two sound hilarious, but I don’t have any idea of the difficulty on them.
True on the lab start. It’ll probably be faster and more likely to find those groups of scientist corpses and get a bunch of ID cards, which I did for the speed run. Though, if you find a means to quickly escape the lab start, you’ll have more points at character creation to put in stats to make things go by real fast.
Fastest challenges to do is probably the 1k volume and reinforce a corpse. You can probably get away with eat a whole hulk if you butcher them with a sharp rock and low survival skill.
I’m not getting the God of Tankbusting, am I? :V
Go get four more challenges and two milestones first.
…maybe I’ll do another speedrun and claim God of Tankbusting for myself. Har har.
Hnnng. Maybe I should. But I doubt I’d manage anything impressive.
Getting a full set of artifact clothing isn’t hard if you find an amigara fault. A set of good artifacts, though, takes a lot of grinding.
Now I’m almost tempted to suggest mod-themed challenges. Like…
- Kill one of each type of animatronic monster, while wearing the wolf or dino suit.
- Kill a T. Rex with the .700 T. Rex gun.
- Take on a T. Rex and Spinosaurus at the same time.
- Kill a moruboru in melee, without a gas mask.
- Kill the Spirit of Fire or Dracolich in melee, without wearing turnout gear. And in the latter case, without standing in the shallow water.
:V
Unless they’ve changed it back, I broke that, so they made it only work once per fault.
If you built wall in front of every space in the fault except one, only one horror would spawn, but it would still give an artifact if you killed “all” of them fast enough. Easy infinite artifacts… so they killed that. Sorry I posted about it.
Oh well, so much for that. I am enjoying the other changes, though. Like transferring all the money from all the cash cards you own into one card ALL AT ONCE.
Yes, that is SO. MUCH. WIN.
How about this for a challenge:
Score 1000 damage on a single melee attack. Probably something that only a really skilled melee survivor with stat boosts can do, though you can probably make it easier if you pick a weak target like a zombie child. Alternatively, hit a shoggoth hard enough that they’ll spill out their acid blood. I know of only one melee weapon that can do that, but who knows?
On the Goddess of Violence, highest damage reached on a shoggoth with a certain melee weapon is 700, though I think somewhere above 200 damage is enough to make the shoggoth spill acid.

I’ve done that before too, not the same survivor though, if I recall.
Basically, several diamond weapons can do this after slaying a jabberwock. It’s pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
How does one burn the spirit of fire?
That’s what I’d like to know. >w<
Really, just a diamond weapon? Like a diamond rapier? Or is this a mod thing only?
Any weapon with the “vorpal” flag, which is distinct from the vorpal technique. If a weapon with said flag kills a jabberwock, the “add this technique” thing is hardcoded.
However, items can be modded in to have the TECHNIQUE to begin with, without needing to obtain the technique the normal way.
