im gonna make a 410 lever one that can fire 40s. its gonna e weaker than a shotgun but more versatile. 410s are an interesting idea especially for cdda. the ammo will have to be interchangable with a revolver though

then, i think a regular drummag one or maybehope a mag for one. focusing on quantity of dakka over damage.

supershotgun is maybe gonna be a 4 chambered gun with 2 auto because screw reloading a gun like that in cdda.

A shotgun contains 8 shells when picked up (16 shells on the "I'm too young to die" and "Nightmare!" skill levels). Shotguns looted from the corpses of shotgun wielding zombies contain 4 shells (8 on ITYTD and NM) and, unlike pre-existing shotguns, disappear when crushed beneath doors or moving ceilings.
We're going with 12 on the grounds that babies like to be split.

Guess what Ima do with that knowledge? Yup, 2 versions of the gun.

Here we go. Its range is better than most shotguns, it holds 12 rounds, and it can slamfire as a feature. It hit a hell baron for 56 damage at 9 tiles away. But then again it also hit a lost soul at that same distance for 1 damage. Guess its about managing recoil and dispersion.

Also, look what I found just laying around in a pit of corpses. :open_mouth: the mods rough equivalent of megaarmor.

Well, there are two versions of the shotgun. one is a shotgun with range. One has a burst mode. You can start with the weaker of the two, which does have more range anyway.

Upped the painkiller on the beserker pack, and granted the powered marine exoskeleton some initial charge to make it usable from get.

What the hell? Is that the BFG?

pre prototype bfg. too grandiose.

the current prototype now does less damage but more explosive damage.

it does 35direct damage with 20 piercing, subject to skill bonuses and headshots. it bounces from target to target, flowing plasma (minor heat dam) and dropping 1 copy of its ammo at each target.

Each ‘bfg ammo’ dropped at the foot of each monster hit will emit corrosive radioactive gas, more plasma, and has a 15℅ chance to rip a medium sized hole in reality. after 2 ‘turns’ (essentially 0-1 combat turn) it turns into a new item that explodes for 60 power and 4 shrapnel.

shrapnel has a random vector and can 1shot a PC without armor.

this can easily deal hundreds of damage to a target. ive seen over 100 damage dealt by the shot alone. but 50-80 is average for a brute.

so yes. i think a hulk could survive it. but the more clustered the enemy is the more damage it does
