Tbh i’m a little disappointed on how uncommon 7.62 is. Aren’t they supposed to be cheap AF and basically everywhere?

I dunno, you could just bump up the spawn rates for them if that’s possible.

I think the reason so little ammunition is used is because there are very few weapons that use those kinds of ammo. The SKS and AKM (I think) are the only two guns that use the 7.62x39 and the Mosin is the only gun that uses the 7.62x54R… So I guess it’s just proportionate to the guns available; which should be more in all honesty.

Has anyone made a weapon mod? Or has that not been tackled yet?

Artyoms Gun Emporium is probably the best one right now. The developer seems to have vanished, but I’ve been mulling taking over support if it breaks again. Right now the most recent unofficial fix is in one of the last pages of the thread.

Good to know. We need more weapons in the base Cataclysm and i’m glad that there is something that can fix that problem.

Crom’s modern weapons pack is also good. It already implements most of the cartridges, except for the .17 HMR.

Considering I’ve yet to see any weapons I normally use be compatible with your mod BorkBork, I’m not sure how this will be any more useful to the game -_-

Could you list what guns should go with your changes?

Using IceCoon’s and Powder mods that come with the core package, those I would think should be compatible. Shotguns don’t use your shells, for example. I’m left with not using the mod which is fine, but a list of what should work together would be handy should I like to give it another try.

Icecoon’s Weapons Pack has never had any .357, 410 bore, 10mm firearms: you are probably confusing it with Artyom’s Weapons emporium.
Any .357 pistols in Artyom’s weapons Pack can be converted to use the .357 Magnum ammo in Extended Weapons Pack by changing the gun and ammo ammo_type to 357_mag; the same can be done to 10mm Auto firearms. If Artyom comes back, they are welcome to use the .357_mag and 10mm_auto ammo types in their mod.

All the cartridges in Extended Weapons Pack can be reloaded without Craft Gunpowder mod. I don’t want to include 357/10mm Auto zip guns until I find a realistic .357/10mm Auto zip gun. If you have a recipe, I will include it in the mod and add you to the byline.

.410 isn’t 12 gauge/“shot” and will not load properly in 12-gauge shotguns without installing the .410 conversion kit which comes with Extended Weapons Pack. The bug which borked all the conversion kit item spawns should have been fixed recently.
