I thought if you used the stoves in houses the fire would be contained?

Might be fixed in 8.0+ but at least in 7.1 I’m back to my old arson days of burning down whole neighborhoods for stupid reasons. Apparently I’m not the only one who has made this mistake.

Is this a bug or just a misconception?

Are you talking about ovens? Those are not fireproof.
If you really want to see what would happen:

  1. Get yourself a normal electric oven.

  1. Build a large fire in it.

  1. Watch as your house burns down.

They really should be fireproof actually, I think I’ll toggle their flag. Be warned though, it’s still a terrible idea, you’ll likely kill yourself with smoke inhalation :stuck_out_tongue:
