I like the snarkiness and the larger choice in guns, though sometimes the snark comes off as opinionistic. Idk.
Some more mods would be cool too. I mean, half the guns have slots that never get used or only have one terrible choice for, and what even goes on the underbarrel bow slot?
I found the ‘‘Hero’’, I’m not sure but i think it was in a gun store.
Could you add brass catchers for turrets on vehicles? So that I can shoot stuff even when my deathmobile is moving without wasting precious casings? Also when shooting a turret (for instance m240 or M2 Browning) recoil should be like 10% of what it would be if you shoot it unmounted. And maybe add a little more precision, just because realism.

If I recall, you can’t slap a mod on a gun and transfer it to a turret. I’ve yet to see whether making a mounted weapon with an integral mod works, but I could test that. o3o
EDIT: Nope. Any installed gun mods render a weapon invalid for selection as a turret. Even integral ones.

Well when you have a guy like me doing the descriptions, I tend to be VERY opinionated with certain guns.
And… That’s not a bad idea. Well… Prepare for a attachment tsunami. ACOGs and tons for other shite.
Fun fact about these (I don’t know if the wikipedia page mentioned it, since this is from background knowledge)-- the Germans used to attach drum magazines and mount 'em on their aircraft in World War I before machine guns became commonplace.
[EDIT:] Argh. I typed out two paragraphs on why the rifle would be totally unrealistic to see in Cataclysm, and then accidentally hit the backspace key and lost it all.
Here’s the summary:
The Mondragón rifle was a cool weapon, but it wasn’t until the '30s that self-loading rifles started to become reliable to any degree, the number of rifles in existence today probably numbers less than 400, and I’d wager that almost none of them would have been fired in the 125 years preceding the Cataclysm. (Most were manufactured from 1908-1911 iirc, and probably none of them were used other than by Mexican loyalist forces in very small numbers during the Mexican Revolution. Cata DDA is set in the 2040s, and I’d wager that less than five Mondragón rifles have been fired since 1915.) Also, the Mondragón’s chambered in the obscure 7x57mm cartridge. I do not think any 7x57mm round have survived until today, let alone the 2040s. It just seems a little silly to include it.
Also, the bow slot is obviously there for a flamethrower.[/quote]
Only thing that here ever gotten on that slot (outside of a failure to make a bow burst fire 2 arrows heh)
was the underbarrel laser sight (is useless if you use the bow sight)

If you’re doing them, then please don’t forget to add the underbarrel bonfire.
Here’s a general request for your next major update (after 0.Dammitwhenisthiscomingout).
Maybe try to add in more weapons for Smith & Wesson, Remington, Ruger, Winchester, and some of those American manufacturers. Exotic weapons are cool, but it still doesn’t feel like there’s a very wide variety in the domestic category.
It’d be cool to see .410s, 20-gauge, and 10-gauge shotguns, as well.
Also, if you could include the Winchester Model 50, that’d be awesome.
It’s a three-round semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun.
It also happens to be the first firearm I ever owned.
