Hello, i’m having a bit of a problem here that it seems nobody else is having, so maybe im missing something… why is there a bar with the game version on top of the actual game? it doesnt go away no matter what i do…

From memory immersive mode, which a lot of apps use to make all bars disappear/apps to be fully fullscreen was added in 5.0 lollipop, this app likely uses that.

If your phone has a snapdragon or exynos CPU it likely supports lineage OS, find the XDA forum for your phone and install lineage OS on your device, you’ll likely be able to get at least android Nougat 7.1 (lineage OS 14.1) on even devices from 2012 or 2013.

Hi! Thanks a lot for the suggestion, however i’m currently using a GT-I8160L Galaxy Ace II and the current kernel is a custom one, it CAN go up to 6.0 but then it screws over the mobile data in general, no way to solve that one btw, just take my word for it.

OH! and i also forgot to tell you guys that this does not happen with the app store version… I know, it is outdated, but i played that one for a while before knowing this forum existed.

Hello, can someone help me please? I cant read some of the menus in the android port. The vehicle one particulary. I think it may be an aspect ratio thing? My Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has a 4:3 ratio (I think). None of the game’s display seems well formated on this device. I would really appreciate any advice. Did i post this in the right place? Thanks a lot.

increase the terminal size in options, it should show a resolution when you’re looking at either of the (height or width) sizes, increase that to a 4:3 one like 1024x768, 1600x1200, something like that.

A lot of people’s issues are due to the tiny default size, I’d argue we should double it.

Thanks a lot for the reply! So, I was playing the Google Play Store version which I learned from reading some of the above posts is out dated. I got the correct version from a link another helpful person posted and it solved the problem i (and another poster) was having with the vehicle menu. However, now the main game screen is wrong. It only displays one line of descriptive text and there is no mini map. I have adjusted the terminal dimensions to W:80 H:30 (up from H:24) which was where the displayed rectangle seemed to fit best but it didnt seem to make any difference. Any ideas? Thanks again.

I also tried setting the terminal dimensions to equate to the pixel numbers you mentioned but there was no difference.

On the topic of Google Play versions, does anyone from CleverRaven have an opinion on what we should do with my old com.MichaelDavies.CataclysmDDA version? It’s still up on Google Play as an opt-in beta version. I can either shut it down, or edit the app description to direct people to the official com.cleverraven.cataclysmdda version.

a friend has a problem, I just convinced him to play the game but when i installed the apk he appeared in the innocent an error message I try with several verions of this month and he keeps appearing the same

There are people complaining newer versions do not work for them, while older 0.C works fine.

What is the current manner of compiling APK for CDDA?
Fairly new to CDDA. I’d like to play the game on my mobile device using a PS4 gamepad, to have some parity with how I play on the PC. However, gamepad support is fairly limited. Rather than waiting for a possible implementation from the devs whose time is best spent elsewhere, I’ve taken it upon myself with my limited coding ability (and zero in Android environment). Been looking at the project in Android Studio, but I’m not able create APK to test changes.
