There is a thread around here where people were saying its a nicotine overdose and you can’t let yourself smoke for more then 6 sec, but I can’t find it right now.
I’m pretty sure it has to do with the transition to 1s turns. You can extinguish your smokeables midway through when you’ve achieved adequate use. Or, use a pipe. One use of rolling tobacco in a pipe works properly too.
